Why is nature so scary?

Like really, fishes that can swallow you whole, parasites that can take over insects and giant bugs!

What is the scariest animal, plant, organism you know (humans not included)

Okay, Okay, all jokes aside, [really it was just me being silly] I think the scariest would be sharks. Well JAWS scare me as a kid when I saw the VHS home video and boy, that was the scariest creature in my life time as a kid.

OK maybe I need to restate my statement, in a more comprehensive manner:

It's nature's way of telling everyone that everyone is a weakling.

I've not seen anyone who claims he's not afraid of anything nature-related. Be it sandstorm, bugs, Predators, Hurricanes, Sun flares, eclipse, earthquake etc. You can always find something in nature to be afraid of (nature’s that generous). That's because you, as a human, are a weakling.

Kind of embarrassing but cockroaches scare me. I've no problem with snakes, scorpions, spiders, bees (I used to live in a city that had plenty of them) but I always find it difficult to deal with cockroaches. They're too damn fast and they can imitate flight! What can be scarier? And those of you who are laughing at this I'm sure you've not seen cockroaches the size of your middle finger...

had that same thought,I might be entomophobic,but this is the peak of it,every time I see one,I don't hesitate to kill it,sometimes ended up dismembered,other than that I have a much scarier thing when it comes to nature,ever thought of life beneath the abyss? now that's the most frightening thing and here's one of them.

For me it's not so much scary as it is cruel.

It's finally nice outside here, and now the pollen is kicking in full force so it's completely miserable outside.

I'll say snakes just because I have that phobia. I am constantly afraid of them, even when they aren't there.

I absolutely hate insects, any insect, hell I don´t even like butterflies ! Where I live the climate is warm most of the year so one of the most disgusting creatures on the planet is almost everyday confrontation takes place at my home, cockroaches, hell I absolutely hate those things, no matter how clean you keep your home those sobs crawl out of the sewers and attempt ( and succeed ) to enter your home as soon as the daylight is out; cockroach hunts take place every single night.
