i do. it reflects certain emotions, moods, and feelings better than clean vocals can.LoG-Sacrament
Such as angry, enraged, furious, irate.... :P
If the genre warrants it...
I find, when properly implemented, it adds a tremendous amount of passion to the music.

dont forget power and lament :P
Screaming is OK in small doses if used to create some kind of effect or emotion in a song.
Otherwise it gives me a headache. I can barely listen to Killswitch Engage or Mudvayne, let alone these other bands that sound like prepubescent teens screaming (squealing is more like it) at a Beatles concert...
Screaming is not music.sinistergoggles
obviously it is....doesn't matter if you like it or not...it's music...accept it
I like it when it's done well. There are plenty of bands who are terrible at screaming, and there are bands who are excellent at it.
An example of good screaming is Lamb of God and an example of bad screaming is Underoath.
I don't like screaming in my music. It tends to ruin good songs. I can tolerate a little bit, but it's just retarded.
Juneau, for instance. Ruined.

lamb of god and underoath are both amazing bands
I tend to like it when it's actually done right, with technique, and not some idiots blowing their vocal chords out because they don't know what to do.

That version of the song is actually the original version called 'Juno'. They released the lighter version as 'Juneau' which was on their first proper album.
You should hear their early stuff, it's friggin awesome.
Screaming can do so much for music, its just that there are too many people who don't use it right.
A great example of how much it can improve a song, just look at the different version of The End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage:
Clean singing only
Screaming intacked
If you ask me, the clean version is actually terrible. The screaming put in does so much for the song its incredible.
Have any of you ever heard a girl screaming in a song? There are some that just get on my nervers like Otep but the girl in Flyleaf is really good at it. I can do it too. Took me some time to get it just right though.rosesforever89Yeah Lacey can scream quite well.
