Why do people say High School is the best years of your life ?

I mean, it really dosen't seem all that great to me.

I just had my wallet stolen today, I work at a freaken supermarket, which is incredibly boring and dull.

I personally just can't wait until next year when I'm free to study at uni and work in better and more exciting jobs and go travelling and meet nice women.

Because it should be. You're old enough to do almost anything you want, you're socially independent, and you have no responsibility. It's the perfect combination for awesome.

I had fun in high school but looking back after 2 months of college I say high school sucks. College is so much better.

Imagine This If you Will, I was An Introvert All ThroughOut High School, I left High School I Because A Hip Geek Who dances Well and Can Talk To New People. High School Does Suck, but Don't Worry its a passing experience

I've always wandered that. I sure as hell couldn't wait for those 4 years to fly by. Biggest waste of my time.

I think it's because most people didn't have to pay a lot of bills when they were in high school:P and it's the time most people had their "first" moments like getting laid,being in love, etc nostalgia:oops:.......

All I can say is it definitely wasn't for me. Right now is the best time of my life.

Elementary school was the best. Everything after that has sucked.

Thank goodness it's only 4 years.

You know I once heard the same thing and was looking forward to High school because of it, maybe it was my high school but they really weren't the greatest years of my life. Fights everyday, a few shootings near the campus, was in a gang infested area so lots of troublemakers and stuff happening. Friends getting caught up, getting in some trouble myself

Now that isn't to say they were the worst, met some awesome people and got to try some new things. Though it seemed overrated from this legendary experience I'd always heard it to be

College on another hand, now that is a whole different subject 8)

Remeber the old saying high school zero, college hero. Believe me those words ring true

Never really got this myself. School is great and all, but I hardly remember High School anymore. My college years stick out more to me.
