Maybe those people who have demons casted out convert to Christianity because they see from that demon possession that God is real, and covert because they see that God is real.hydralisk86
Why does it happen in churches. Why not on the streets or in a mall? It all seems perfectly planned for brainwashed people in a church.

I dunno. Maybe Christians are more likely to interpret something as a possession, but you're definitely asking the wrong guy.

Not that I am certain this stuff is real, but you should really do some research before you ask such a stupid question.

Jews have been reported to have been possessed as well, and there are documented cases of Jewish exorcisms having been performed.

This topic is just silly. Everyone knows atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, etc. are already possessed by demons. That's why they don't accept Jesus as their lord and savior. Hallelujah!

From what I've seen most religions have some form of possession/exorcism.

Actually priests wouldn't perform an exorcism, they would send the person to a mental health professional, if natural means (i.e. medicine and psychological help) don't help, then an exorcist (a specially trained priest who receives permission from the bishop to carry out exorcisms). Also exorcists look for certain signs of demonic possession: such as knowledge of a language the person wouldn't normally know, superhuman strength and aversion to holy things.

There are different kinds of demons for different kinds of acts you do.

For example if someone is very loyal, then a demon of loyalty might come to attack this person and corrupt the person's virtue of loyalty.

Contrary to what many believe, it is not bad habits that attract demons, it is good habits.. if you help others, heal others, support others, be there for others, care for others.. then you are healing the damage the darkness has caused, and then you are a threat to them. People with a lot of really bad habits, are already doing what the darkness wants them to do, there is no reason for them to be attacked, though dark spirits and demons will feed from them for energy.

Sin feeds the darkness, but virtue makes you a target: only people that are a direct threat to the darkness, not through belief or faith, but through action and deed, get attacked. Being attacked is a sign of being on the right path.. as all good things are a threat to the darkness. The more they attack you, the more they fear you, as they fear that you will undo their works.

There are a lot of "biblical" sins though, that aren't real sins at all, such as homosexuality. Real sins are actions that cause real harm to other people.. if a sin doesn't cause any harm, then it really has no effect on anything, and won't allow demons to feed from you. Only true negativity and positivity has an effect on whether or not they consider you an ally or a target.

Can a Christian be possessed? Yes! A Christian can be possessed because only a Christian can be delivered. The deliverance ministry benefits only those who have made Jesus Savior and Lord. The unsaved cannot be delivered, or if they are they end up seven times worse afterwards since they do not have the power of the Holy Spirit to stay delivered. Many come to saving faith in Jesus Christ possessed because of previous involvement in the occult, sexual sins, sins of inheritance or as a result of specific unrepented sins. Some Christians become possessed because later they get involved in these kind of sins.  The Bible is plain in Galatians 6:7-8,

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life."

While many peoples theology teaches a Christian cannot be possessed, nothing in the Bible teaches that a Christian cannot be possessed. Possession is the result of sin, but not just any sin, but sin that a person commits that is deliberate and ongoing and without the intent to repent. Ecclesiastes 10:8 states "He who digs a pit will fall into it; and whoever breaks a hedge, a serpent will bite him." When we sin, that is a doorway first to oppression. When we sin we give Satan legal access to ourselves. We only have authority over Satan when we are in submission to the Lord. James 4:7 states "Submit therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James wrote this to Christians, not non-believers. When we sin and do not immediately confess and repent of it, unclean spirits related attach themselves to us to keep us in bondage to that sin. That is why even though we confess and repent of our sins and God forgives us, afterwards we often times still feel attached to and prone to that sin. Paul expressed this frustration in Romans 7:18-19,

"For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish."

We have to go further than just confessing and repenting of our sins, we have to  ask the lord to cleanse us from the sin and all unclean spirits related. If we do not, we will find ourselves repeating the sin with seemingly no power to say no. That is because it is now the demonic influences which are causing us to sin. So after we confess our sins we also need to in the name and the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to bind the unclean spirits related and command them to leave.
