Exactly, 95% percent of these guys are clowning on the circuit. The other 5%, if they are the real deal, you can never tell, it isn't empowering to be a follower of somebody elses experience even if they are right.
People have to grow some balls and take matters into there own hands if they want to get a glimps of the luminous. Investigate and experiment, the truth is most people are just not up for it, a lot safer to stay in your little comfort zone and listen to others to soothe your doubts (nothing wrong with that).
The new magic is physics, a measurement approach. But the true magic of these theories and mysteries can only be experienced as transpersonal by physicists who work on them, understand the implications and appreciate the intrinsic depths of the quantum world. It is not a very democratic experience in that sense, luckely to us mere mortals they can be explained and understood on a basic level (which is good because it validates to some extent the fact that the world is not as clear cut as we would think).
Old magic to me is the cardinal one, in particular altered states of consciousness. Authors who you should look into, Roger Pensrose, Karl Jansen, Carl Jung, Stanislav Grof, Rupert Sheldrake. If anybody knows tittles of old magic books that they deem usefull let me know.
