don't really have a hero..
I got people i admire in one sense or another but no single group or people or not. I mean if i HAD to name names i'd say
Gamel Abdel Nasser (Pan-Arabism part... not the Sociaist implementation - i still to this day think some sort of Pan-Arab coalition that was more then just a social club *AHEM* Arab League *Ahem* would be very beneficial for the region, and NO i don't mean to unite against Israel, i'm talking about more important issues like economic and social development)
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt
President Abraham Lincoln
President Thomas Jefferson
King Faisel of Saudi Arabia (officially ending slavery, first girl schools open in 1962, introduces television, and creates most of the reforms that most Saudi's live with today, some of which would be curtailed when King Fahd acceded to the fundamentalists... -_- )
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia (current King, diversification of economy, trying to build a knoweldge based economy - or at least set up the foundations for one, easing and finally confronting extremism in several different measures (both in the typically expected and the uniquely creative).)
King Abdullah the II of Jordan
Queen Rania of Jordan
Former Prime Minister Yitzahk Rabin
Wajeha Al-Hawadir
Matrook Al-Faleh (repeatedly threatened with and jailed because of his repeatedly petitions and calls for a constitutional monarchy for Saudi Arabia. Also calling for severa social reforms and general improvements to the government like better jails.. and more transparent courts)
Haifa Khalid (poet and writer, educating Saudi women on their divorce rights, something a lot of men and courts seem to keep women purposely in the dark about)
Anwar Sadat (having the gall and balls to make peace Israel without anyone elses agreement, and despite 1973 war ending with Israeli's having the tacitcal advantage, the sheer fact that Egyptians had been able to bunch a black eye was enough to restore face and honor to allow Egypt to even bear such a concept- something i think most people here would find R-word - but i cannot expect people to really understand.)
Saladin
Prophet Jesus (as depicted in both the Quran and the Bible)
Prophet Muhammed
Martin Luthor King Jr.
Malcolm X
Ghandi
Stan Lee
Shigeru Miyomoto
Nicollo Machiavelli
Charles Darwin
Neil deGrasse Tyson
Stephen Spielberg
Epicurus
Socrates
Plato
Leonardo DaVinci
Michaelangelo
Galileo
John Locke
Thomas Hobbes
I'm sure i'm forgetting a few others... but that's why i say no one in particular. I genuinely meant it when i said i take the more nobler things from other peoples (regardless of race, creed, gender or religion) and incorporate it into my own personal beliefs or ways of dealing with other people.
