Which band got you into metal?

It was KISS when their album Rock N' Roll Over came out.

Later I moved on to less goofy things like The Scorpions, AC/DC, Iron Maiden & Black Sabbath.

I always liked older metal so I dont know which band for that but for most of the newer heavier metal I like pantera started it all

To be honest the bands that got me into metal were Ensiferum, In Flames, and Dimmu Borgir. I was never interested in Sabbath, Maiden, Metallica, etc.

He gave up on rock, so moved to metal... it all makes sense now.

Linkin Park was the first band I ever got into (Hybrid Theory album), and that got me used to some heavier riffs and screaming. Then it just started to progress to Breaking Benjamin then after that I just started listening to metal.

So LP got me into metal because I really liked the heavy riffs and screaming.

In all honesty, I started out with Limp Bizkit...

Odd thing is, as much as my music taste has developed and how into metal I am now, I still actually enjoy some good old Limp Bizkit especially the Chocolate Starfish album....

Judas Priest, Metallica, and Dream Theater. Oh, and a bit of Rush.
