Frog and Toad are friends.

Seriously.

Edit : "The Garden" story from Frog and Toad is both informative and hilarious at the same time. Must read.

I don't know about favorite of all time; I've read a lot of really good books. Faith of the Fallen by Terry Goodkind is an awesome book, though. All of his are, actually.

Non fiction, probably Karen Armstrong's A History of God, fiction I'd say The Mirror of Her Dreams and A Man Rides Through. On the other hand, the original Dragonlance novels hold a trashy beach reading place of honor in my heart =D

I can't just name one...so I'll name two trilogies:

1. Lord of the Rings (or anything by Tolkien)
2. Farseer trilogy (or anything by Robin Hobb)

It really is a great book. Blade Runner, which is based on it, is also great, but quite different.

Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies and my favourite sci-fi movie. :P It's why I bought the book. And yeh, I heard the movie is quite different to the novel.

I've not read Kafka, but anytime I hear about Metamorphosis I think of the music video in the Home Movies episode where they make a rock opera from it

Edit - link to video.

OMG I love that book, Heinlein was a god! Anyway, for me it's either that, 'Stranger in a Strange Land', or 'Dune' by Frank Herbert. Or 'God Emperor of Dune'.
