What you guys think of Tool?

My friend is really into it and I've started listening to them, and so far I think they're awesome.

He saystickets fortheir next concert (at lollapoolza) will cost $200! wtf is that true?

They're meh. Not for me. I'm more of a Celtic Frost person.

Not a fan....too repetitive for me.

They are quite overrated in my opinion. Although they are talented, the songs are boring and repetitive.

Quite repetitive, and their songs are way too long with not much happening. That being said, they were one of my gateway bands, so I'll always like them.

same but bands I truly care about are mostly from the 90's and onward. Easier to relate to them.

Because there's a lot of people on the planet and a lot of them are going to dislike something.

i don't care if you listen the "music of today," I just figured that you hadn't grown up listening to Tool. Its the same with most people. It goes without saying that band's fans will be largely made up of those people who grew up or started listening to them earlier on. I'm of course generalizing and this doesn't apply to brilliant bands that are uber-famous.

I like tool alot. I am 20 by the way. Also, you guys who dislike tool which albums have you listened to? I like there newer ones like aenima, lateralus, and 10,000 days much more than their older stuff. I have listed to lots of other progressive metal as well and still find Tool awesome.

Ahem, I probably should have worded that post a bit differently. I was talking about band threads not Tool threads. My mistake, and yes everyone is entitled to their opinions, that wasn't what I meant exactly.

I like tool alot. I am 20 by the way. Also, you guys who dislike tool which albums have you listened to? I like there newer ones like aenima, lateralus, and 10,000 days much more than their older stuff. I have listed to lots of other progressive metal as well and still find Tool awesome.

It's bound to happen. I mean even the Beatles have not sold billion records so that means most of the world dislikes them. That's how I look at things when I feel outnumbered.

I'm going to add that if a person doesn't like a band, they won't even listen to the other albums by the band, so saying that is pointless.

I'm going to add that if a person doesn't like a band, they won't even listen to the other albums by the band, so saying that is pointless.

But isnt it only fair that they do?
