@hyksiu: best not to pit this to a discussion void,if you need to say a word that's not worth a discussion, take a deep breath and just redirect yourself to the rollcall thread
If I had an air conditioner it would have been better but unfortunately not....
Ha, I don't have one of those and I freaking live in the tropic. We are also under water rationing because of a drought. Bucket showers suck so much.
@Master_Live: living in a tropical zone must've been a lot hotter, not to mention that I know of the Cali drought season, which was quite a thing I'm aware of. Last time I was there, the drought wasn't yet a serious thing,or began.
I myself live in the equator, where heat is nearly all year except October to March.
@hyksiu: let's be serious this time...in the middle of the heat, all you need is a considerable amount of resting time under the shade and take less time to move about depends on hydration level as you might need a bottle of water to keep you sane, but I fear it's a selfish thing to carry around a bottle of water in a drought-hit territory.
I've been drinking coke like crazy. I am probably going through 5 small bottles a day and I've gotten so addicted that pure water feels horrible to me...
The kidney stones might take your mind off the heat :P
But seriously, water helps a lot, and there's no reason for it not to be as cold as your coke, right? Or am I missing something?
I put on some glasses, maybe muss up my hair a little. Most of the time I like being this hot though.
@hyksiu: much to my surprise, coke contains sugar, and sugar surely don't hydrate you as it works much like MSG on your meal..to keep your thirst alarm running.
in my experience with this,I only drink coke,or hard liquor on the rocks when I feel like it,even in the intense heat,I'd still rely on bottled mineral water.
The lesson here is: don't drink something sweet too much,or it might kill your digestive organs, you're gonna need that to make sure you're healthy enough to be here and there.

You can always resort to loitering in a public or commercial building that has air-conditioning.
A library is probably the best option, but bookshops, malls, supermarkets, restaurants, diners (e.g Denny's or IHOP) can all be exploited, depending on the hour of the day or night.
In the case of a business, you might have to buy a drink or a snack so that you can claim to be legitimate patron, but at least the air-conditioning will be free.
It's scorching hot around here and humidity levels are through the roof. The only thing that drastically mitigates the heat is to go sit upstairs on the roof, otherwise, I'm screwed. My room in particular is hot because my neighbor's house blocks the air and I have my laptop and the router making the room hotter than the rest of the house.
Water spritz with fan unless you have A/C.
It simulates sweating and in most cases will be better than most window type A/C.
Ice cold showers, drink cold water not pop, get some fans going, splash cold water on face now and again
Thank god is only dry heat here and I deliver atm. AC in the van and ice cold drinks. If you don't have ac than get towel and dipped it ice water.
Where do you live, if its a hot place than it should have ac everywhere.
