Obviously, when you die you go into the land of drugs and write articles.

We return to the Earth from which we came, just like every other living thing on this Earth. It's that simple. The cycle always continues, and the fact that we are conscious and intelligent (maybe moreso than we should be) does not put us any farther above that reality than the birds in the sky or the worms in the dirt.

I hear it's amazing when the Purple-stuffed worm in Flap-jaw space, with the tuning fork, does a raw-blink on Hari-kiri Rock! I need scissors! 61!

LOL! Nice reference to Metal Gear Solid 2! And I bet the author was quoting Campbell when he said it! It sounds more like he was tripping balls on mushroomy power, baby! XD

[QUOTE="LZ71"]Am I missing something? Because I couldn't find a piece of that article that made any damn sense. :?SolidSnake35
All I got was that the empirical world is subjective because space and time are our means of viewing it. Not sure how that answers the question of life after death... other than, maybe, the afterlife won't be in space and time. I skim read it, though.

That looked like some methaphisyc article....the words.....ugh

The author is an obvious Idealist. He believes that the universe exists the way it does because of our conscious recognition of it. Once humans cease to exist the universe does as well (at least in the form that it is in now). He wants to point out that once we die space/time ceases to exist, (because it exists in our mind) and thus we now exist outside of time, our whole lives then lie before us and behind us. Interesting theory, but I don't agree with it. I tend to lean more towards the realist point of view.

i came in here because i believed there was some evidence :P but instead of giving me evidence he gave me speculations and theories.

Nothing wrong with that, if the idea was new. But it isnt.

Do you remember when you were born? No. I guess it's the same when you die.

Inception also says that you don't know when your dream starts, so I guess it's the same when your dream ends. Just an example.
