What do you think is better Waffles or Pancakes?

I prefer chicken fried steak, but my OPINION means nothing I must hear your's.

They're both quite awesome foodstuffs...but I prefer pancakes a wee bit more.

Strangely, I never have. I know other people eat them that way, but every time I order pancakes with jam and powdered sugar, the server always gives me weird looks (I had one woman refuse me service until I ordered some syrup "as a precaution". All in good fun between us, but she had never heard of someone doing that.)
