The Tomb by H.P. Lovecraft, the first story I read by him. I was enthralled.
Also As I lay Dying by William Faulkner.

OMG Lamb was a great book! I didn't care too much for his other books though.
I havnt read others but my friend keeps telling me too. If the whole bible was like Lamb i would be all over it!
"The Number of the Beast" by Robert A. Heinlein.
"He's a Mad Scientist and I'm His Beautiful Daughter", was the first line, and it grabbed me for some reason, and it didn't let go. Great book.

I liked Cather in the Rye as well. Its hard to say why, but there was just something about it...
