I'm still on my Stephen King binge. Right now, I'm reading The Stand, and I'm about halfway through. Reading pretty quickly, too. I just started it last week. I'm really enjoying it. I think I'll watch the miniseries again after I finish it. I'm also listening to Cujo as well. That one, not one of my favorites... just too much filler.

Batman: The Long Halloween.

Why does Catwoman have a tail and wiskers? What makes the tail move?

I'm guessing animatronics.

Yeah. It's his first book I read. It's also quite short (barely 200 pages) so it's not that big of a time investment.

It's a late Christmas gift for someone else, but I won't have the chance to give it for a couple of months, so he said it was fine if I wanted to read it first.

I might learn a thing or two, more than just how to train my glutes.

Rise of the Darkhold starring Dr. Strange and the Avengers. I read the last comic of this story arc when I was a kid. Stuck with me until now obviously. Dracula seeks possession of a book called Darkhold. And many heroes stand in his way.

Been reading the Game of Thrones series, "almost" done in the sense I am on the last book, but the last book is super long too. Also, it's not really the last book as G R R has another one (or two? I don't know) coming.

I also got another book I'm sort of reading at the same time called Hollow Kingdom. It is written from the perspective of a pet crow during a zombie apocalypse. It is pretty entertaining and funny.

Nah man, gotta keep that posterior in shape. I don't know what you do for a living but I imagine you sit on it a lot like most people.

Just started Permanent Record by Edward Snowden. It's kind of depressing the way it makes you feel exposed. On the plus side, I've started taking better and safer measures for my home network.

I'm struggling. I'm on book three which seems to be about very specific, relatively boring (Cersei, Brienne, and Samwell, for instance) characters. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy their stories and backgrounds, but I feel like I've lost touch with the bigger picture of what is going on in the books as a whole. Instead of this epic, interconnected story it's just really specific stories about them.

Well, audiobook, but Animorphs #1 The Invasion. Most of that series is really good and I'm hoping it gets enough support/buzz to maybe make it into and animated tv series at some point.

I finished The Terror by Dan Simmons last week. It was pretty good, first Dan Simmons book I have ever read.

I am not sure what to read next, maybe an old classic.

Hi y'all. I haven't been here in quite a while...

But to answer the question, Spurgeon: A Biography by Arnold Dallimore. I like it. It's more to the point than some biographies of Charles Spurgeon that I have read.

I was recommended to read those books but back then, I was reading Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind and never got to them. I'll get to them at some point.

The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

"The Gulag Archipelago" is a non-fictional account from and about the other great holocaust of our century--the imprisonment, brutalization and very often murder of tens of millions of innocent Soviet citizens by their own Government, mostly during Stalin's rule from 1929 to 1953.

I'm floating through this one. Halfway through the 2nd book already. Very good read.

The Prince of Thrones series is great. Never has a main protagonist been such a bastard.

Currently reading one called "Sober Curious". Pretty good insight on why anyone drinks and why people do it/enjoy it whether they have a problem or not. Makes you second guess going for those weeknight beers or even staying out on the weekends just to indulge on alcohol.

That sounds interesting. I put myself on hold for it at my library.

Right now, I'm reading The Boys, Omnibus Vol. 5. After that, I'm going to jump straight into Vol. 6. I loved the show so much, I wanted to read the graphic novels before the second season came out.
