Me:

  • Always bet on Black
  • Chase a lady in class, never chase a bitch
  • Have a game plan, don't ever play yourself
  • Trust no one but yourself (even friends are capable of betrayal)

Those are basic stuff but I also learned 4 important things and I go by these agreements:

  1. Don't take anything personally.
  2. Be impeccable with your word.
  3. Don't make assumptions.
  4. Always do your best.

Be accountable for your actions. Treat others how you would like to be treated. You're not always right. How you behave when you're wrong says a lot about you. It's not always about you. There's always more to learn. It's ok to make mistakes. Perspective is a beautiful thing. Less is more. Don't live outside your means. Laugh, a lot. Trust is earned, so is respect. Do the right thing even if no one is looking.

1. Money isn't the be-all and end-all. Yes it helps, but favour happiness over wealthiness. We're not all going to be millionaires and the sooner we realise it the sooner we can enjoy life.
2. Try new things! You never know what hobbies you may like until you try them. Sure there's the obvious things like football and video-gaming. But try badminton, try board games. Hell, try cross stitch.
3. Be open minded. About everything, whether it's Sony vs Microsoft or Man United vs Man City or about religion and LGBT issues. In the end, what impact do other peoples' personal choices really have on your life.
4. Be honest with what you want. Everyone 'wants' a six pack or a better job but only those who truly do actually go out and get them. If you're not happy with certain aspects of your life, change them. (I don't have a six pack)

and finally: Listen to your friends. If they say your wife is a manipulating, self-absorbed, selfish, lazy toe-rag, then listen to them ;-) maybe I wouldn't be going through an annoying divorce then!

  • One can be good or even great at almost anything they desire. Patience, practice, and willpower can do wonders.
  • Everyone is capable of good, as well as evil.
  • Do not expect others to mirror how you treat them.

I was just trying to build a paradox for people. Really, most of the "life lessons" in here are the "wise words" I see on some pretty images on social media.

-You can rest when you die.

-No one gives a shit about your 'best'. Work harder.

-If you want something done, you have to do it yourself.

-There are two kinds of people; there are doers and there are those that watch them do it.

  • Being right isn't always the most important thing.
  • Always assume that if you work hard enough, that you can accomplish something. Maybe you'll be able to do it and maybe you won't, but one thing is for certain. If you assume you can't do something you'll always be right about that.
  • I don't believe in anything I haven't personally seen or experienced, but at the same time I'm not so arrogant as to assume that just because I haven't seen or experienced it that it doesn't exist.

Not taking things personal is a biggie.

In recent years, failure is a part of life. Broken dreams. Things not going your way, or how you'll like it to go. But most importantly, don't get caught up in blaming others for your problems. Regardless of fault. That victim mindset will keep you stuck in the same place, and nothing will change. While everyone else moves on.

-own your mistakes and learn from them

-find a job that makes you happy since you will be spending a lot your waking life there, but don't let it become your identity; put your time in and go home.

-spend some time working a few jobs in your youth, don't be in a rush to find your career. There is no shame in not starting your true professional life until you're 30.

-a few good friends are worth more than a lot of friends and acquiantences

-The things you own end up owning you. Pack light, keep it simple stupid, etc.

-Don't make work personal, never talk shit at work, don't gossip at work, don't reprimand a coworker/subordinate in front of others at work...just don't be human at work.

-And last but not least, and most importantly...don't get fat.

Laziness is a virtue.

Just because you're nice doesn't mean the world will be nice to you.

Good cannot exist without bad

Go with the flow

What other people think of you is not your business

The more things you have, the more you fear losing them

Your day may have been bad, but the world will still spin tomorrow

Breathe

Don't look for trouble.. if trouble doesn't look for you.

Don't do things to be nice..do it cause its the right thing to do.

Be slow to anger ..& think about the consequences (as confucius says) very important.

when mouth stops talking, fists starts flying..so always talk it out.

This is my life so much. I did both, but because I spent more time gaming than actually looking for internships/volunteer work during college I've kinda screwed myself even with a Bachelor's degree in Business mgmt.

The most important thing I've learned in my life is not to ask my future children to pause their game in order to eat dinner. I'll serve it right under their nose, sit back, and tell them to use their potions properly.

1. Make money when there is chaos in the streets

2. To be pragmatic during a crisis.

3. To not fall into the trickery of corporations and rich people when they use divisive language.

4. If it sounds too good to be real, it's probably a scam.

5. That most people will judge you by your appearance and not by your race.

Value your health above all else. When it's gone, you are living in utter poverty.

Think very carefully about the values and principles you hold, cherish and protect them, but always keep them open to be challenged and changed.

Suffering and hardship is the greatest teacher and character builder in life, and reflects the character of yourself and everyone around you.

Stand up and fight for what you believe in.

Admitting error is not a sign of weakness, it is an admirable character trait.

Never judge those who commit suicide.

Keep an open mind to new experiences.

Laughter is healing.

The universe is not a sentient being, and doesn't care about the whole of humanity's existence, so living one's life "in the moment" and pursuing happiness and pleasure is the greatest achievement I can endeavour towards.

There aren't two sides to every story, that is nonsense spouted to children in order to make them understand not to rush to judgement. Quite the contrary, most of the time people on one side are right and people on the other side don't even understand what they're talking about. A better saying would be "don't rush to judgement, ever, and don't pass judgement at all if you don't know all the facts".

Meaning is more important than words. You can easily tell a person's intellect and the legitimacy of his arguments by their propensity to use their own words instead of someone else's and their understanding of principles and laws and their ability to properly link them together. By contrast, you can tell a person's stupidity by the opposite, their propensity to use words whose meaning they don't fully appreciate, their inability to understand all factors at play in what they're talking about and their consistent focus on irrelevant things.

Speaking of which - very few things in this world are legitimately difficult to understand. Most concepts simply require you to have knowledge of previous concepts that compose them in order for you to grasp them. Don't be fooled though - proper understanding does require time and no google search can remedy that if you don't already have the background knowledge required. A corollary of this is that the same goes for explanations - it takes time to explain things properly and completely, and oversimplification is a flashing sign of intellectual scarcity or dishonesty.

dont over react to every situation

eat healthy or you will regret it later

if you have a chance to do then do it

its not what you do in life its who you do it with

live your dreams instead of dreaming about living

if it doesnt belong to you then you should not take it

what works for you doesnt mean it will work for others

work for the good life dont expect it to be handed to you

dont insult other people because they are just a reflection of who you are

some of these are philosophical but it sums up my life so far
