Do you think science will ever prove how we came from nothing? How something came from nothing.

Something intelligent designed the laws and ingredients to make life.
So what designed that 'something intelligent'? Moving the goalposts doesn't answer the question.

Something no one can comprehend.
Something no one can comprehend.
Oooooooooo.
No, seriously?
We've come from plastering hand-prints on cave walls to toying with subatomic particles at will. Just because some people have a mental block when it comes to observing and understanding reality doesn't mean we all suffer such an affliction.

It could have always existed.
It could have always existed.
And we all might be holograms. I would say there's just as much proof of both: nothing, but that would be ignoring the fact that the hologram theory actually stands up to scrutiny.
except we didn't come form nothing
but I'm probably going to listen to someone who attempts to make sense of it through hard science rather than just saying "god did it, now put your money in the bucket and vote republican"
I don't know I'm not a space doctor or whatever.
But I'm not going to just assume some supernatural force did it because I don't immediately understand everything about the universe and it's beyond my personal comprehension.
That'd be like refusing to believe the toaster works by electricity because you don't understand everything about electricity. Just because I don't know how it works or gets to my house doesn't mean it was supernatural.

Science again for the bitchslap. Seriously folks put down the Doritos once in a while and read something other than the bible and you might learn something cool.

We just don't have the tools to further observe, is what I'm saying.

in practicality, one can only prove things to a certain point
the scientific community may supply plausible theories, and back those theories up with hard data, but again, it only proves things to a certain point
y'know... i'm sitting here... and i'm trying to salvage this topic with something funny, or topical or science-y and i am just absolutely drawing a blank.
no pithy little bon mots, no observations that make everyone uncomfortable while being almost impossible to deny.... nope, nothing.
so... we have totally proven it is impossible for something to come from nothing.
If you really want to get mind fucked, the oldest thing in existence is time. Is it even possible for anything to be here before time? When did time even start?

Maybe that intelligent something is so advanced, that it knew how to create itself, and knows how to always exist, and never needed some other more intelligent something to create said intelligent something.
that it knew how to create itself
Listen to what you are saying. "It knew how to create itself without itself existing." Seriously.
We came from nothing
No. We came as Romans.
I do quite like learning history about the Roman Empire, fascinating. Also, Roman Gods/Goddesses rule! However, which is better, Greek Gods/Goddesses or Roman ones?
We came from out mother. If something could actually come from nothing we wouldn't need out mother right. Anybody see my point? Am I stupid?
I think that ultimately only a physicist who understands quantum mechanics, quantum field theory and general relativity very well can really answer the question: is it possible for something to come from nothing?
And several physicists such Lawrence Krauss actually believe that the entire universe could have sprung out of existence from absolutely nothing at all.

@Toph_Girl250: you know that at one point when Romans invaded Greek, they adopted their Gods but named them different names to be more Romans but they are the same in the end. Jupiter and Zeus are the same guy, Hephaestus is Vulcan, Aphrodite is Venus, Poseidon is Neptune etc
I see where this thread is headed. Leave Jesus H. Christ out of it!
Leave him alone! Leave Jesus alone!
