A Russian naval vessel has rescued 308 foreign nationals from the increasingly dangerous and war-torn nation of Yemen. Among those rescued by the Russians were eighteen US citizens, whom the Obama administration had abandoned in Yemen.

From this article:

US citizens currently in Yemen have lashed out against Washington for failing to act. “Nobody will help us evacuate. The reply [of the US government] was an automated message that they do not have any evacuation plans. Basically we are left on our own,” Arwa Al-Iraine, a US citizen trapped in Yemen told RT.

Thank the Lord that we have Putin to look after American citizens, since Obama evidently doesn't give a damn about them!

From what I can gather with different news stations, those Americans in Yemen were given the leave order much earlier. They were idiotic enough to ignore it and ended up being stuck there.

Still any other president would have done more than Obummer. They'd probably send a fleet of ships to evac the idiots out (then slap them later for being stupid).

I guess we do owe one to the Russkies.

@jun_aka_pekto: sometimes you can better wait for a bit as going in guns blazing as you may only endanger people who have nothing to do with it... (and stop blaming obama instead of the suitmonkeys around him...)

In most evac situations, there's no guns blazing scenarios because it would be pointless for the insurgents to engage the evacuating side. They'd simply wait until the other side leaves. Then they can have it their way with the locals. Of course, all that firepower would be a deterrence in itself.

I don't really blame* Obama for what's happening in Yemen. But, isn't he the one who picked the suitmonkeys?

*I just wanted an excuse to use that monicker. ;-)

If they passed on to him, then they became his lackeys.
