Basically, yeah! :) My favorite bands are Tool, RHCP, Alice In Chains, Nirvana... But I also listen to Jack Johnson, but he's a much better guitarist than John Mayer in my opinion.

Are you kidding!? Have you listened to Tool's music!!!!? Their lyrics are incredible. And they have such deep meaning beyond silly things like losing a girlfriend.

 Try comparing "Your Body Is A Wonderland" to "Right In Two"

Your Body Is A Wonderland is about John Mayer loving this girl, and he expresses it in a poetic way.

Right In Two is an epic satire of the entire human race, shown from the perspective of the heavens.

It's kind of obvious to me who has the more meaningful lyrics...
