Angeles Duran, 49, has registered herself to be the "owner of the Sun, a star of spectral type G2, located in the centre of the solar system, located at an average distance from Earth of about 149,600,000 kilometres".
Duran has backed the claim legally through a loophole which states that no nation may claim ownership of a star or planet, but does not mention individuals.
Duran, who lives in the town of Salvaterra do Mino says she now wants to charge a fee on everyone who uses the Sun, with 50% going to the Spanish government, 20% towards the nations pension fund, 10% to research, 10% to ending world hunger and 10% to herself.

What do you guys and gals think of this? Personally I'm offended. I don't want to have to pay for something that's been free for billions of years, and since when is it even right for one person to own the most important object for humanity?
