Okay folks, this RC thread is way past the expiration date, and it's just about time for a new one--any ideas for a theme? Sound off on suggestions!

@BranKetra: Good call, thanks Bran.
@ashbee: To be completely honest I have only seen one gun in my entire life and it belonged to my uncle who's a hunter.
@korvus: Yeah it's not that common for us non-Americans to use or even hold guns. I've only held my brother's gun a couple of times. He's a police officer and always wants to teach me how to disassemble and then re-assemble his gun. Like I need that kind of knowledge. I do appreciate him explaining the basics of using one though and even though I don't remember all the parts, I believe(and hope) that I could make due in a time of need like say a zombie apocalypse or even a real life situation. :P
@johnd13: At least until you need to disassemble and reassemble the gun, right? =P I trust that my martial arts are defense enough for where I live...also glad they taught me self-control otherwise I might have punched someone yesterday =P
@korvus:
There was this Jackie Chan movie where he had to go on a gun disassemble and reassemble race with a criminal. God forbid.
And then they played Russian Roulette to unwind? XD
@korvus:
What could make a peaceful lad like you lose your temper like that? :O
Well, I wouldn't have punched the woman but I felt like it. You already know my wife is a musician/teacher. Every year she spends a ton of money doing something nice for her students. She rents a space (a frickin' palace!) and invites her students to come in and play together, she invites bands her students like, composes music individually for all her students (sometimes there's over 100 students there) so they have something to showcase their skills, orders this huge ass lunch for everybody and she does all of this without charging the students (or the rest of the people they want to bring along)
This year she decided to go even bigger and she organised 2 really big workshops for her students and invited another teacher to do the same. I think you can imagine the costs of all of this...
So normally there's a donation box somewhere (at the insistence of the students) and I'm always keeping an eye on it and even suggested buying a "safe" kind of box to keep the money out of reach but my wife always dismisses it because she's too trusting.
This year's event was yesterday and I was keeping extra attention to the box (that was in the cafeteria area) because the other teacher brought her own students as well so it was a huge crowd. At a point, somebody started chatting with me and I got distracted...when one of the concerts was about to start everybody left the cafeteria and I see that a woman stayed behind and she's just grabbing the money from the box and shoving it in her wallet. Last one I saw her steal was a 50...no idea how much she stole total. When I confronted her she starts screaming I'm lying and trying so shame her into donating money with the excuse of "returning it".
Then I had a choice between forcing her to return the money (and I would never be sure how much it was) and I would risk pissing off the other teacher (since the bitch was her student) and completely ruin the day for my wife since there were still 4 more hours to go or let my wife enjoy the results of her hard work (she spent 3 months organising everything) and keep smiling despite the fact I had just caught a thief red-handed.
The moment that really made me want to punch her was at end when she walks up to my wife and says "Thanks. I feel like this was a very productive day for me"
Like I said I can't tell how much she stole but this year we had double the people and we got about 200€ less donations than average...since I saw a good part of them donating I can only imagine...who the **** shows up for an expensive event, has lessons, listens to concerts and eats for free and then STEALS MONEY?? I'm still pissed off.
Sorry for the huge wall of text...
@korvus: Wow what a bitch. I'm not in favor of hitting women but she deserves a slap or two. But I think you made the right call, your wife deserved to have the great day she planned so meticulously. Nobody should be allowed to ruin such hard work and preparation. Assholes gonna be assholes, one of the few constants of humanity.
@BranKetra: Good call, thanks Bran.
You are welcome. That section is a confidence booster, for me. Whenever someone tells me I cannot do something, I remind myself that very successful people often experience many failures to get to accomplish their goals and if one can do it, two can.
@ashbee: No, but I've seen the crazy chick who gets dropped from the middle of the sky and doesn't give a damn =P
@ashbee: I think a session needs to be done, so I'll leave you to it ;-) I wanted to discuss something regarding the sessions with you so expect a PM from me soon, if that's ok =)
its been a while since ive been here. looks like not much has changed really.
anyway, have a 3 day weekend from work. been pretty fun though. i work as a ride operator at a theme park. though its an hour and a half trip on the bus. at least its only one bus, and i have my ipod to keep me busy. just finished up a 5 day in a row work week a few days ago, and i have a late shift coming up this Saturday.
also recently changed the strings on my guitar as the previous set popped. had some EB cobalts on it before and loved the sound. went back to regular, and hated it. so i went to guitar center to buy new strings. i bought a set of cobalts, and a set of m-steels. put the m-steels in my guitar to try them out.
AND it has been pouring rain today, and its supposed to rain tomorrow. i was hoping to go to the theme park to have some fun tomorrow, but its starting to look like i wont be able to do that with the surprising weather.
FINALLY (lol) i might also be getting a new guitar next week. depends on if i find a good one at guitar center or sam ash. if i don't, then i have to wait until march 13th for Jackson to release their latest guitar that ive had my eye on.
that is all. sorry for the wall of text. just felt like sharing. at least the short version anyway. :)
@korvus: thanks. hopefully it isn't too difficult to pick a new one. though I admit that every time I got to guitar center and sam ash, I always fins at least 3 or 4 that I would buy if I had the money. and that's not even putting into consideration that I want to buy another bass as well.
I hate it when a restaurant's service is despicable. I went to a tavern today with some friends and while we were the first to arrive in that particular section of tables, we were served last and flat-out ignored at times. We ordered 5 dishes(after waiting for a while) and they brought them one after another with an interval of 10 minutes between them. We reprimanded them a few times and they assured us that we're next but to no avail. We only paid for half the dishes(that they brought) and then left. No tip for them of course. Thanks for ruining my lunch assholes...
@johnd13: Sorry to hear that. Not sure your taverns are the same as ours but the taverns I know are mainly for drinking...you might get a sandwich and some meat on a stick if you're lucky but the main point going there is to get hammered so I wouldn't be surprised to get a shitty service.
@korvus: Taverns here are ordinary restaurants only not as classy. They are favored by middle and lower classes(like me) and they serve all sorts of meat or seafood or both. It costs usually around 50 euros for a small group of people to eat so when I pay this amount of money I expect common decency and respect.
Your description reminds me of pubs or similar places to be honest. And since I avoid alcohol I never visit those. Heck I don't think I've ever been to a bar - you know, those night time ones - in my life.
@johnd13: Where I come from the difference between a tavern and a pub is that in a pub you can't get a sandwich =P They're both really low class and normally full of old guys with huge bellies getting wasted while shouting at the tv like the football players can hear them.
A bar would be something a bit classier.
@mitu123: it's really because I can't handle loud short noises. Gunshots, popping balloons, fireworks etc all make me flinch. So it would be dangerous for me to shoot.
Same with me. I can't stand listening to gunshots, balloons popping, fireworks. I don't have any real reason to have a gun either.
By the way, how are you @ashbee?

With me it's (cell)phone ringing, doorbell or that kind of sounds...they don't make me flinch but they annoy me to no end for some reason. Also, whispers XD

My cellphone ringing doesn't me too much. But then again, I don't get calls very often either.
I'm quite sad right now over the fact that I don't own a outdoor hot-tub and sauna. :(
I can't even have that, I live in an apartment so no backyard for me.

Eh I'd settle for a indoor sauna.
That said, relaxing in an outdoor hot-tub, looking up at the stars and listening to Agalloch.....ah...that would be the life. The only way to properly deal with northern winters IMO.

I've been alright. Very busy with real life happenings. How about you?

I'm doing okay, but slightly tired. Maybe we should talk some over PM too. Would that be okay?
it is tough keeping up with all the prime time shows. my dvr is almost constantly full. and then I need to catch up on a few shows on Netflix first. tomorrow is also my last day off before back to work. at least I work 2 slow days this week. but Saturday and until closing is going to be the hard part.
Unexpected twist of fate occurred resulting me in not being able to come here for a while, but that looks to be over now.
Also I think I'm the only one in this thread that really loves guns and enjoys collecting them, and also shooting them too. (But not at people though of course. :P )
Well, if I had a lot of good extra money, I would collect them, that and I still have yet to even attempt getting a license anyway. Damn strict gun law states. -_-
:P For starters though I do have at least one bebe gun.

I enjoy firearms but I don't own any or even held one. I tend to keep up to date on the firearm world though.
It's been weeks since I post in RC, sorry about that but I been sooo busy at the house and at work, but not that I'm back, so Hallenbeck suggest a new RC huh, well I guess I'll vote for Branketra idea on Thanks Obama. Glad to see everyone is doing well.
How is everyone today?
Good. Thanks for asking Ride.

Welcome back. Also, Mitu seems to like guns as well.

I mean, you can PM if you want. I've never been asked for permission before, haha.
