Yeah, there was this *sshole in our class that I tried to be proper friends with but that didn't change how he acted to me compared to how he acted towards everyone else. He had a group to hang with just like everyone else. He acted like a tough guy cause he was bigger than most of us and some of his friends are tougher but significantly nicer.
Two years later his "friends" turned their back on him and treated him like trash. One of his former friends probably 8 inches smaller than him shouted that he looked like a dick 20 yards in the canteen while he was walking in his general direction. He couldn't do squat cause he'd get destroyed like a little b*tch by him in a fight. He didn't have a single friend in the batch. Even his whole class ignored him. But even after all that I still think he deserves more pain.

If people get to the point where it seems like they joined a thread just to insult you, you could just talk to a mod about it. lol it what they do since i've been here the Mods seems to not bother , but i don't mind since they don't scare me

How do you know you're being polite? Maybe they think you're coming off like a jack ass. Maybe they think they're being polite. Who's right, you or them? They say you're acting like an ass, you insist you're being polite. One can never really know. This thread stinks of moral superiority, and arrogant facades.
I'm a generally kind person. Maybe not polite, but I won't try to piss someone off unless they are trying to do the same to me.
The smile and the humor mask something dark, however. If someone continuously acts like a jerk or a brat (e.g., my friends girlfriend and my sisters), They'll eventually have to deal with an onslaught of pent-up rage and insults where I pick out every single one of someone's faults and make them seem like the sh*t of society as I can still think intelligently when angry.

Sure. I just act nicely toward them, but I won't go out of my way to give them any sort of additional help. See, there's this thing called the Fundamental Attribution Error. Basically, when we see someone acting like a dick, we attribute it to their personality, and not to the circumstance the person may be in (his house burned down yesterday). Conversely, when we act like a dick, we automatically attribute it to the situation, and keep consistent the ideal that we're acting in a negative way because of the situation.

So, if someone is polite to someone who is rude to them, you think that means they are a pushover? I disagree.
I would agree with BranKetra, but it all depends on how you handle the situation. If you were not making eye-contact (which a lot of people don't do) then I would say that, that person would come off as a push-over.
To me by keeping eye-contact and continuing to be polite to a D-bag/jerk shows that your naturally a nice person and that your doing your best to remain friendly.
Remember not everybody in this world is gonna like you...As my teacher once said, "Even Jesus had Haters!" hahaha :P
No offense to any atheists on here. Just my litte comparison xD
