OT, Do you believe in God?

Now first off, I know this was asked before. Not for the last 5-10 pages, but it was. I'm making this again just to see if anything has changed.

Now, OT, do you believe in God? In any shape or form, just an entity that created the world and controls our fate.

I personally do not know yet. Faith has been forced on me by my grandmother, but that doesn't make me a believer... yet.

Yes but I don't think it's pure neutral if it exists. It doesn't care for us or any other creature. It just does whatever it does for whatever reasons it may have.Ace6301

there is nothing to prove that any gods exist.

I would not be in our interest if they did exist as humans have made 99.99%of the gods evil/vengeful.

Nope and I think the first time I started questioning gods existence was after my friend told me santa clause wasn't real (I was about 8 years old) From then on I'd have my "god" phases and my "atheist" phases up to about 14 because I couldn't really make up my mind. I started thinking that I was an agnostic but to me that was kind of a "I'm to scared to make up my mind" kind of thing. My father comes from a highly conservative christian family so he'd always push the religion and conservative values thing on me.

I grew up for years against gay marriage, perserving marriage, and taking pro-life stances. I broke free when I started watching TheAmazingAtheist on youtube along with other atheists and I'd watch them just to piss myself off, this was years ago though. The more I watched the more I studied up on christianity and other religions, the more I understood the points these people were making and the more I realized that the religious arguement and mindset was heavily flawed, or at least mine was not to diss anybody elses. Few years went by and I'm an Agnostic Atheist who's slightly to the left on the political spectrum.

I believe in One personal God Almighty, creator, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent--incorporeal spirit. TC it sounds like you need to do some investigating on different beliefs.

Yup. Specifically I believe that God is so holy and worthy than any rebellion against him is worthy of death. However, in his mercy God the Father sent God the Son Jesus Christ to be a substitute for our sin and die in our place. Through his death, burial, and resurrection those of us who place our faith, hope, and trust in him will too be raised from the dead on the Lord's Day when Christ returns to recreate and redeem this fallen world.mindstorm

I'm at the point where I honestly don't care. I think people should live their lives free of worrying about religion,evolution, where we came from etc. Its normal to think about these things, but often we think about them too much and we don't enjoy life.Just-Breathe

It's kind of eerie when I think about it now. This gives me the impression that priests, though nice on the outside, secretly want to do me in.
