If you haven't heard yet...

Obama and Huckabee won the Iowa Caucuses.

I'm just curious, if they were running today for president, who would you vote for if you had to choose one?

Neither of them are my favorite picks but Huckabee is just too "holier than thou" for me. Plus I'm not a fan of religious people being in power...Obama is less religious at least. Plus Obama could have kucinich for a VP (long shot...but hey...it's going to be dangerous being the first black president and Kucinich is the best possible life insurance in that case).

I wish Ron Paul had won but wishing doesn't make it happen :(

Neither. Obama is lib and Huckabee is a closet lib. Huck's economic policies are garbage. I want to full breed conservative. Not a half-breed.

Why do people always say this? I can't imagine it will get any worse than under Bush. If it does we are all screwed and I dont think living in Canada will make a difference.

I'm not American but am following this kinda stuff, I'm a liberal....centre left. So Obama, however Clinton would be preferable. However I'd support Homer Simpson if he was the Democratic candidate before I supported a conservative Republican.

If Democrats retain control of both Houses of Congress, I'd like to see another Republican President. An environment of forced compromise is a good thing.

Not all repulicans are bad. Though thanks to a major movement with religion in this country, most republicans are really not good political leaders at this time.

Quite frankly, I don't really like any Republican Presidents past Lincoln, Roosevelt and Eisenhower.

Though Taft wasn't that bad, either, I don't think...

At least I agree with some of the things he says. If I had it my way, though, Mascis for president.

Obama for one Republicans imo have done awful in the past two terms with Bush at the helm.. Its time to let the democrats have a go at it.

Secondly Huckabee is too religious for my tastes.. I have nothing against religion, but imo presidents during their rule are suppose to be athiest/secular.. Let me explain here.. This is not to say they need to renounce god.. Just that their decisions are done with rational thought on the nations best interests, and not based on religious beliefs. For instance gay marriage is huge, and its mainly due to religion.. When in the end this can help finachially support many american citizens as well as give them benefits.. And this is not to say a religious marriage just a civil union under law.. But do to conservative religion this isn't made possible.
