Day 21 and I ponder a great question. Do I still have a beard? Or does the beard still have me? Which is more real? Do I have a beard because I exist? Or do I exist because of my beard...? Was this Descartes' real quandary (considering his epic mustache)? Amass dear bretheren, and weigh in with your progress (or your despicable failure). Also pics if you want. I shall begin.

Beard

I made it until November 5th. That's when the itchiness became maddening.

15 days up on this kid.

I asked my dad to just trim my beard but he ended up shaving everything off except my goatee. Oh well. I TRIED.

I'm kind of the opposite. I've gotten so accustomed to having facial hair that when I shave completely I look like a goddam alien.

It also exposes my double-chin.

Yeah, they do make some people look slimmer in the face. My step-father is a prime example, I just can't pull it off. I got like a Bruce Willis thing going on right now, and it's bothering me ill get rid of it in the morning.

I've got a goatee going with some sideburns, I always have it though. I just look weird with a full stache and facial hair right now, but I will do it some year for No shave November.

I'll post mine tomorrow when Zelda Skyward Sword comes in the mail. I'm planning on taking pictures of myself with the game while wearing my Zelda shirt.

I thought police were required to shave unless they honor shaving waivers like the military.

Some can and do have beards. Mustaches are much more prevalent, though.

I would imagine they would be required to keep them fairly short though. It would be wild to see a policeman with a ZZ Top beard.

Nope, military regulation stache. Doesn't go past the corners of his upper lip. He's the kind of guy you would see on the picture of a billboard advertising Police officers: High and tight haircut, and a mustache.

Active duty military, so no growing facial hair for me unfortunately. I do miss my slick goatee though, my chin is so cold these days.

I think it would be pretty gross if I didn't shave. Nothing like a hairy-legged woman.

My neighbour with the white van is doing well for movember. His moustache is looking great.

I haven't shaved yet this month and the results are pretty pitiful. My facial hair grows sinfully slow and doesn't fill in well, doesn't help that the hair on my cheeks is almost transparent for some reason.

This, No Shave November isn't catchy at all. It also seems as if no one ITT actually realises why we don't shave in November.

I was getting confused with all this "no shave" stuff, and full beards. I couldn't work out if it was different from Movember or not.

Still I have discovered that blonde moustaches don't really work as no one can see it unless they stand really close to me.

I made it until November 4, 5, or 6. And I only made it that far because my roommate clogged the sink and I didn't have any time to do anything about it until then.

The name isn't restricting anyone's participation, it's just more catchy. Although the point kind of is that almost everyone looks stupid with a moustache and that's why it does so well at raising awareness.

For that, they would need a bigger belly and white hair and whiskers. If they do not have either then they all lose, even if they manage to play hide the sausage.
