My mom called my girlfriend a ****

ok im 16 and after school today I was walking with my new girlfriend hannah to my moms car. and she was wondering whether she could get a ride to a store a long our route. but when we got in the car to ask, my mom told her to get out and called her a whore. my mom has never even talked to her at all and she called her a whore. so we just decided to take the bus together and she started crying a long the way and i felt really bad :/
how can i tell my mom to stop being so judgemental?
