your brothers an idiot(no offense) I live in Fl and as such have been hit by multiple hurricanes. look up hurricane andrew;whiped out a good number of Florida homes to make the government regulate safe hurricane houses(houses that could withstand 150+mph winds...roughly a cat3-4) so unless your brother lives in a house similuar to this he can kiss it and possibly his a$$ goodbye.

Hopefully I don't wake up to what I saw Katrina do(my whole city under 14 feet of water) It will be so devestating if My mom and I wake up and we see water up to the rooftops again, that means that he could have drowned or are stuck in our attic:(

It won't be another New Orleans all over again. New Orleans was perfect for hurricane distruction. It was bowl shaped, so when a hurricane went through it just tore then entire city to bits.

Yeah, but it's pretty much always like that. Every time a hurricane hits Cuba, you typically have about 50-100 people getting killed. Then it hits the USA, and maybe 6 or 7 people die. And 4 or 5 of those people only died because they were idiots, and decided to go surfing at night right as the storm surge was coming onto shore.

Of course there are notable exceptions, but that's usually the way it works. Hurricane hits Cuba, lots of people get killed. Then it hits the USA and you have about 7 dudes getting killed because they're dumbasses.

UPDATE: My brother just called my cell and he's ****g bricks. He told me he didn't know how serious this storm is and now he wants to come with us! I gave my cell to my mother and she started crying. (I hate when I see my mom fall on the floor crying) I guess she knows that there's nothing she can do to save her son:( We all know that we can't go back because it's bloackes.
