Do you actually care for FM or do you just hype it up because it's a 360 exclusive? (I don't recall you ever purchasing any of the games, which I could be wrong about but I do see you posting a lot in their threads leading up to it's release but once it's available you vanish)

I feel by far you're one of the most misinformed mods to ever grace mod status. I usually expect Mods to be well rounded gamers, in your case I think you spend more time worrying about your "art" and simply use gaming as a reference point rather than truly caring for gaming it self. (You've only owned a 360 this gen, and don't seem to purchase much games throughout the year :/)

This was actually my idea. It was a forum game we had in the GUFU union that was started by one of our banned memebers. It was something I've been wanting to resurrect for some time. Then I read the result of Jody's moderation survey, the segemnt about people wanting to see more moderator interaction aaaaand

Oh I can't believe I'm gonna confess this Halo 3 blunder I commited. It was a multiplayer game being played with my GUFU buddies and some don't know that at times I can have a pretty twitchy finger. So there I am with shotgun in hand when this Spartan comes around a corner with a flag totally surprsing me. I blast him in the face, too late to realize it was my own team mate and I had just stopped him from delivering the flag. In that moment the opposing team killed me and the game was lost. I never heard the end of it for a week :?

And my guilty pleasures.... well that would be any game with hot characters in it I guess :oops:

Name one time you've hated being a mod. There's got to be at least ONE time where you went like "ugh, come on, I have to do this? Being a regular user is so much easier", and no, you can't user Moderator's Hot Seat as an example :P

How many fingers do you have? (I got one chopped off from a pirate duel to the death. I think I won that fight, I don't know, I was in pain. I never saw the other guy after the fight to ask him if he lost and died or not :-/)

Lara Croft being the number 1 lady to me who best represents gaming, aside from her I would definitely have to say Samus Aran. In a way, she's like a future version of Lara - solitary, determined, independant, and exploring mysterious environments.

The most discouraging time for being a mod was when I started seeing some of my GUFU members in the mod reports. I tought I knew some of these people and had seen a really ugly side.

With Uncharted 3, I have no reason at all to believe it'll flop. It looks like PS3's best series and comes from a fine developer pedigree. That said GS has been very unpredictable of late. I was completely floored by the recent Forza 4 development :lol:

I very much believe that Forza Motorsport is the premiere racing series of this generation, and I did play all previous games from 1-3. It has nothing to do with being an X360 title, just for being a polished and robust racing series. From the awesome car detail, to the drving mechanics, tuning, and bt far the most extensive customization, both inside and out. It's not like I'm alone in this opinion either, lost of gamers feel the same way, as do critics.

My display of hot celebrity appreciation is just harmless fantasy, no different than many guys and girls have with male celebrities. I still date and socialize with plenty of women in the real world, clubbing, house parties, dining, and so on. I don't see the problem here.

And just how am I misinformed? Am a single system owner? yes. So you think I can't possibly keep abreast of what's going on with PS3, Wii and PC? I have a 25k gamer score so I spoend plenty of time gaming as well as posting on these forums. Before the Xbox I gamed on Gamecube, PS1, TurboGrafx16, SNES, Commodore 64, and even before that, though not owning them just playing on friends systems, I played on Atari and Colecovisions.

I played the Final Fantasy games on SNES, Actraiser, Metrroid Prime 1, Zelda Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Ghoul's n' Ghsosts, TMNT, Gauntlet, Spy Hunter, Secret of Mana, Wild Arms, the first 2 Gran Turismo games on PS1. I lined up in the arcades to play the Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat games (1-3). My tatses range from FPS, to TPS, RPG, action adventure, hack n slash, driving and fighting.

So, is that well rounded enough for you, or would you rather just condascend to me even further? Which brings me to my next point, that in this thread OP, while I said that some playful ribbing was OK, insults are still NOT tolerated. You better read the OP again. The TOU still applies which I was very clear on. When you followed from the SW (or if it was GGD thread) aside from quoting from those linking threads, you should have still read the OP here.

I said playful ribbing was OK, good humorous fun, which is not a license for for such disrespect. Try to use better judgement for the next mod.

I really hated to have to do that, mostly because I wanted this thread to be a relaxed enviornment for us all. Nor do I want to discourage anybody from participating. But there is a clear difference between playful banter and ribbing, and beligerent insults, which Wingman couldn't seem to distinguish from. And I don't think he can take the whole "grilling" thing literally as a defense.

Like I said, I want this to continue and be an on going series with a different Mod every 2 weeks, so I hope everybody from Gamespot, from which ever boards your habitate, will continue to bring your questions (fun and entertaining kind).

It's late for me now, so I'll resume with the rest of the questions tomorrow. And I hope you'll notice I've been mostly answering by adding my text to the original posts in blue. Much easier than multi quoting so many at once.

what was the first moderation you received?

My first moderation was for Spam/Advert back in Jul 2006. I made the cardinal mistake of posting "in before lock" and got a point loss for the deed. I didn't use the old vernacular of "inb4 lock", I kinda hoped I'd get some slack for proper grammar, but ohhhhh no :P
