I think it's really weird that Swizz Beatz was the CEO of MegaUpload.

I just hope they don't go after Mediafire.

Better start taking advantage and appreciate the other websites.

Eh, you don't need SOPA or PIPA to take down a site like Megaupload. They host a bunch of illegal stuff and put little to no effort in removing it. Trust me. There's like all sorts of games and music that were posted like a year ago that still up and available for download.

This actually has nothing to do with the bill. The guys were using the service to launder money and make money off of illegal content. The ruling on this happened on the 5th of this month and has been under investegation for a long time.

They were actually told to shut down the accounts of people who uploaded illegal materials. They did not.

From what I read here, Megaupload was doing a lot of crazy copyright violations and was profiting heavily. Apparently they made $175 million off of it.

This has nothing to do with SOPA/PIPA.
