Has McDonald's when I went shopping two weeks ago. I have chronic insomnia, so I was half-asleep, and needed something quick and filling.
Love fries/chips, but don't really like burgers all that much, TBH.
I went to Steak n Shake a couple of weeks ago with my wife. We don't get burgers very often, but they are delicious.
A week ago. Had Five Guys.
Uhhh, TMI?
:)
That joke never gets old.
@indzman:
I live in America so... yeah. That's a pretty common food here, but the last time I had a burger and fries was a few weeks ago in Houston where I had a Whataburger one night late after seeing Alien Covenant. Another time I was staying by Fisherman's Wharf in San Fran and I would walk over to the In and Out Burger place there (the only one in San Fran) and get a burger once a week, but I'd typically skip the fries. I tend to only get burgers from decent restaurants or the "boutique" fast food places that aren't everywhere in the US.

Cool :)

Last weekend. Mickey D's. It's not my fave or go-to -- but they're the only go-to past 11pm out where I stay, plus they're pretty consistent (I guess that dedication to quality control by the brothers stuck around).
Had a burger the other day from Dairy Queen (Flamethrower burger is awesome) but haven't had fries since the first of February.
The other day I was at my friend Brett's apartment picking something up and I finished his Big Kahuna Burger. I washed it down with a Sprite (a tasty beverage).

meany :P
Trust me, it's not an issue for him anymore.

What?
I Went to mcdonalds once and got a big mac and fries. Person asked me what kind of fries. I said French. She didn't find it funny. That true that.

I think a good burger is awesome but I don't like eating them all the time.

There are a lot of really good burgers out there, and there are a lot of really bad ones.
I think you have the right idea, don't get them all the time. Quality, not quantity.
Next time you find yourself in san francisco, check out the burger bar. Pretty insane burgers. Got me a kobe beef patty topped with cambezola cheese, a fried egg, red wine truffle reduction, slice of heirloom tomato, pickled onions, and arugula.

This is crazy that you suggest that place, because I already know it and it's my favorite burger chain in the whole country even though it only has like three locations. The one I know is the one in Vegas between Mandalay/TheHotel and The Luxor in the mall that connects the two and my favorite item there (that I only order once per trip because it's ridiculous) is the Rossini which is a Kobe Beef patty on a Brioche bun with fois gras, shaved black truffles, and black Perigold truffle sauce on the side. It'll run you about $60 and the fois gras is a bit overkill on a meat patty but I love me some truffles.
I didn't know there was a San Fran location. I was working there for a couple months around Post and Montgomery and I had no idea I could have walked there for lunch every day. Instead I got lunch from the much less impressive Super Duper Burger on Market.

Had atwo burger with baked-beans about 2 days ago, no fries. Sprinkled some chillie-powered over them to add abit of kick.

I said it was ridiculous. I meant both in terms of price -and- in terms of actually eating it. You can also add any of the items on the burger ala carte. A normal Kobe beef burger there is like $17, the fois gras is like 15, and the black truffle shavings alone are $30. Fois Gras is like "meat butter" if you've never had it, and adding it to a big slab of meat is a bit much. Half the time I peel it off the burger by the time I'm halfway through.
Still love it, though.

Burger for the Rich :(
worth it, and honestly it's within reach of middle-class folks. For like once a year or whatever. Or just once in a lifetime even. I mean 60 dollars at one sitting is no small sum, but then again four dollars for a coffee is a lot of money, to me at least, and people do that every single day, but I wouldn't have a problem spending 60 dollars on a burger like that a few times a year. Not one problem. Different strokes for different folks.
I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys food or cooking, it's amazing. You can "build" your own burger there as well, customize it to your own liking as well. It's really amazing.
I'd sooner spend 240 dollars eating four of those burgers than 200 dollars eating 100 McDonalds burgers.

I do okay, but generally when I'm travelling I'm doing so for work (especially to Vegas, where I would never go for pleasure) so I get a per diem to spend on food. Granted, I'd blow a whole day's worth just on that burger but it's a fun thing to do. One of the ways I make up for the fact that I travel for my job is that I hit the most interesting restaurants in the cities I visit. $60 for a meal is nowhere near the most I've spent on a meal for myself.
