Alright. At first I wanted to create a thread about the movies I watched and ask your opinions on them to make it look like a legit forum post instead of a blog post.Instead I created this."Another What have you Watched lately" thread.

Anyway.I took the time the watch The Mechanic and Battle:Los Angeles.

I enjoyed The Mechanic. It was everything that I expected. An enjoyable action flick.

Battle:Los Angeles.This movie was weird.I don't know.Aaron Eckhart was disappointing.

What have you watched lately,OT?

Tupac Resurrection.

Which I quite liked. The man was very intelligent from what I can gather and has some great ideas but he seemed a little arrogant for his own good.

^^Harry Potter films are crap by the by:P^^

Read the books, they're far better, and no it's not embarrassing reading books with magic and warlocks, which were intended for children....:(

I saw Rob Roy over the weekend. It's an old movie starring Leam Neeson (spelling?). It's kind of BraveHeart-ish.

Which version of the Mechanic? I'm assuming the new one? The past few films I've watched...I've been on a Criterion kick Easy Rider - Amazing movie, great Criterion transfer. Total classic if you haven't seen it. Head - I'm a big fan of the Monkees, but this movie is not so much a Monkees movie as a movie that happens to star all four of them. Trippy flick, though. Special features were more interesting than most of the movie Paths of Glory - Shockingly, I had never seen this one before. Terrific film that, topically, has held up extremely well...much like Dr. Strangelove Winter's Bone - Decent movie, but nothing really stood out to me I know I'm forgetting a few more movies I've watched the past week or so...

The original stars Charles Bronson.

Yeah, it's worth watching.

Paris, Texas - Loved it even more the second time. Dumb and Dumber - I said, "Do you love me?" and she said, "No, but that's a really nice ski mask!" Magnolia - The third act didn't bother me as much now that I knew it was coming. I liked it more this time around, but I still think it's my least favorite PTA.

Control by Anton Corbijn - a great biopic about Ian Curtis, of whom is played brilliantly by Sam Riley.

The Diary of Anne Frank was the last I watched. It was really good, with a lot of light and well-humoured moments helping to soften it up a bit.

A Fish named Wanda

It was a heist movie with a lot of different things going on. It wasn't bad, but some of the characters felt like they were held back or not right for their roles. Cleese was amazing as per usual.

A lovely generally overlooked heavily Hitchcock inspired bit of Ozploitation cinema entitled Road Games from 1981 which is basically a more visceral version of Rear Window that takes place on the open outback road of Australia.

Then because today is also the great Harold Lloyd's birthday, I watched a few of his films this morning namely Safety Last (1923), Girl Shy (1924), The Freshman (1925), and Welcome Danger (1929).
