Kanye is alright, he has some good songs and also some bad ones as well (goes for any artist really)
I don't think he's the best out there though.

Alot of you seem to get pissed off at others choise in music. Kind of like areligion if you see were imgetting at. Chill out the only reson you are a die hard fan of somthing is if you were born into it. Here i give you an EX... I was born in 1981 so i grew up with Nervana and soundgardin exa exa exa I here the music today and think god that sucks. Justlikemy parents born in the 50's think everything i like sucks. Get over it in ten years your kids will hate what you like
I personally think that the world will only have to endure maybe a couple more years of his noise and prattle before he disappears into obscurity where he has always belonged... hey, we can always hope, right?67gt500
Thing is he is already a good producer. He wont really fade for like another decade.

If he keeps making albums like MBDTF quality, I doubt he will fade anywhere.
[QUOTE="Cloud_765"]No. He used a Daft Punk song for the background beat to one of his songs. Daft Punk is amazing and he sullied their good name. A thousand times, no.Nibroc420This. Heck, 90% of Kanye's "contribution" to that track was him repeating lyrics from the original. Kanye isn't creative, he's just something for the white boys to play while claiming they're gangsta.
What the hell are you talking about? Have you even listened to a Kanye West song or are you just one of those elitist snobs that judge everything they haven't even sat down and listened to. I probably would have been on the same boat with you years ago until I actually decided to give him a listen and discovered *shock* he isn't appealing to gangsta wannabes by any means.

Umm.. I don't, actually. I'm hoping he releases more material as long as he puts effort into it, which he has been good at with his album songs

i think kanye is a hall of famer

No, that would be ridiculous.oh and 99% of people in here hating prolly havnt heard any song other than stronger, gold digger and All of the lights, their opinions mean nothing

Kanye releases whichever single he wants to be played on the radio. and FYI, Jesus Walks is his "best" song. those 3 are no where near his best received ;) ;) again, you don't know what you're talking about because you don't listen to his albums, you're a part of the mainstream crowd. that's okay, but those three aren't his best. try doing a google search. *wink*ZumaJones07
LOL
SO the songs that are his "most popular", by sales, radio requests ect. Are NOT actually his best songs, because YOUR opinion is different.
Youd think the songs people liked the most would be his best (seeing as how "best" is subjective, and the only way to definitively say which is "best" is by vote/number of people who think it's the "best")
I dont even know how to respond to such ignorance.

gold digger is the worst on late registration
all of the lights is the worst on MBDTF
and stronger is one of the worst on Grad
and even then theyre all still good songs but dont even begin to show his true potential

it really preys on my mind.
it sucks that the 21st century is just trying to get by and this dude is all "do-inn sump-in mean two-it"
lay off the 21st century already!

Oh come on.
I really like the band Modest Mouse. Float On is by far their most popular song; it's pretty much the only song of theirs that got a lot of radio play because it is catchy, upbeat, and really accessible. Just about all fans of the band do not think Float On is their best song. I could use a similar example for so many other artists. Popular does not always mean good, though some of my favorite Kanye songs are some of his most famous ones.

ITT: People claim that their opinions, and the opinions of their friends, far outweigh the opinions of millions of song buyers on Itunes, and the thousands of people who listen to the radio.
Best is a subjective term.
If more people buy song A, than song B, because they like song A better. Wouldn't that suggest Song A is better than song B?
Apparently not. Only the "hardcore fans" know the BEST songs
