Well, considering the only thing I know from either is Gangam Style, I have to vote K-pop.

I would pick J-pop because their songs feel more organic.

I like JPop more. I lived in Japan for 2 years, so I grew accustomed to the music.

Even though it seems a little contrived, I weirdly quite like that : )

K-Pop is alright, but there is an element of oversexualization in every music video I saw by them. The ladies are certainly pretty, but I prefer J-Pop because there is more modesty, so other things are focused on such as vocals and creativity. No offense intended.

Mental oversaturation is a bad thing to me. To explain my preference more, I like more about female artists than their sexuality. Femininity is partially that, but also other traits. I believe if you were to experience its positive aspects, you would appreciate it more holistically.

When I was in Korea my Korean roommate played that almost every day. Can't say I was a fan after hearing that one too many times.

As for which genre is better, I would pick J-pop/rock/music-whatever on account that I used to be a huge weeaboo japanophile back in high school. Score 1 for nostalgia! Both genres make me cringe though.

you said an entire race is not attractive sounds like something a neo nazi or a kkk member would say. If you dont like asians dont click on a topic about them.

1. "You find those little Asians attractive?" That quote was towards the girls featured in the video.

2. But lets say I or someone else was aiming at a entire race, how is that neo nazi or kkk? What era you're living in?

3. Who said anything about liking/disliking Asians?

4. With that said, it seems you're the one generalizing.

5. Your move.

Ahhh yehhh!!

Def. Kpop for me. I know for one the demographics consist of girls more and I'm talking about 3:1 ratio at concerts, yes I go to them and have no shame as a dude. The popularity is at an all time it seems in Asia and in the west too though is a bit cult-ish, and their music/merchandise is easier to come by since there are a few stores while stores selling jpop are virtually non existent here in LA. I like how most of their music consist of dance (with girls :D), with some ballad/rock/r&b gems.

Jpop and all the Japanese craze seems to had past its prime by 5-10 yrs and I don't think it ever peaked that high in popularity at least in the west. It seems like most of the fans come from anime lovers rather than solely loving jpop. Jpop can get too weird for me. Don't get me wrong I love both, but is just my take on why I prefer kpop. A lot of k pop artist are doing pretty well in Japan too.

J-pop has the better music. I haven't yet seen any K-pop bands that rival the originality or quality of, say, YMO or P-Model, for example.

K-pop has the hotter babes. When it comes to appearance, I tend to find K-pop girls more attractive than J-pop girls.

Kpop has more intense choreography, good visuals, and catchy songs. BTS<3333 Vixx<333 Infinite<333 They never cease to amaze me. You can't go wrong with them and not to mention these groups (especially infinite_) are so funny. Especially Infinite leader Sunggyu's imitation of the members. Jpop is just as good but I just prefer kpop a bit more.
