That's a nice definition. And having read through the link which pie-junior posted, it seems to be exactly that with the exception of its more religious approach as pie-junior himself stated.
I guess this was just another misuse of a common term by journalists then. One should be really careful when reading these things or else he may get the wrong idea just like I did.
