I understand people have diferent views on it which is why I have created the topic, I mean for a mature discussion on this. If you think its morraly bad why do you think that? I personally can see both good and bad points to it, but its not something that will ever go away either way ( :D )

this is mean to be mature

No. The participants enjoy it and get paid. The producers get rich. The viewer gets addicted to wanking. Nobody gets hurt.

I think the only people that have problems with it are the ones who can't look at it because of religion or other things.Vax45

Well some people just don't like regardless of whether they are religious or not.

I think it's fine.

But i must say, glamorous pornography is one of the most amazing things i have ever known.

Yes it is. It is a way men (or Women) can use their fellow neibors. It goes against the Sanctity of the Human body. It leads us to treat the woman or man as objects for our own pleasure than a human person with dignity.

Pornography is the use of the human body as a commodity. Specifically the pornography industry uses the human body in an obscene manner to exploit people - the actors and actresses, and those who purchase the material, all in the name of money.

Pornography sexualizes the viewer's mindset. It warps and perverts their perspective such that sex is unnaturally elevated in their thoughts. Porn's images are stamped into viewer's brain with the aid of hormones released during sexual arousal. Even if a person decides to stop looking at porn, the past images can remain for years or even a lifetime.

Pornography intensifies an individual's drive to serve oneself, rather than serve others. For example, masturbation which typically accompanies looking at pornography reinforces a self-centered sexual orientation which can detract from a person's ability to give and receive love.

Looking at porn can damage the viewer's current or future marriage sex life. Porn viewers may find that it's difficult to enjoy true intimacy with their spouse when they're fantasizing about somebody else! Additionally, porn builds an unrealistic perception of sexual relations. Porn sex is a portrayal or an act made for the viewer's enjoyment. It takes what God intended as a private expression of love between a husband and wife and prostitutes it for entertainment. When a person has been looking at sexual pictures of other people for entertainment, he or she will have a downgraded value of sex. This in turn will detract from their appreciation and value of sex with their spouse.

I am rather turned off by the fact that a fair amount of women in pornographic films have been coerced, even violently, into performing acts they did not want to. The lead actress in Deep Throat (the most successful pornographic film) was allegedly threatened with guns to make scenes in the movie. I get a little unsettled watching pornography and wondering if the women in the video are doing these acts completely voluntarily.

Otherwise, I see no problem with viewing porn in moderation.

It's not exactly important...I just find that answering questions with more questions leads to confusion.

Here is the thing...In this particular situation, the "why" is not important, who cares why the TC asked...unless it's because he wanta you to answer him with an answer...ugh, nvm...do w/e you want.

I kind of just gave you an example, you know.

Here's a website with a bit of information. I'd like to point out this quote:

"In one case, a man who said he had participated in over a hundred pornographic movies testified at the Commission hearings in Los Angeles as follows: "I, myself, have been on a couple of sets where the young ladies have been forced to do even anal sex scenes with a guy which [sic] is rather large and I have seen them crying in pain" (1986, p. 773)."

I would imagine that most pornographic actors are performing on their own free will, but the thought that they may not be just unsettles me too much.

People consent to have themselves photographed/recorded having sex for money. There is nothing wrong with that at all. I myself don't care for it anymore. A legal well-regulated industry is always safer than an illegal, back-alley industry.

It happened in the past more then now. Linda Lovelace (the woman from Deep Throat) went against porn later in life and charged that her husband forced her violently to do much of the movie.

Nowadays it's so strict that kinda thing doesn't happen as much. At least on porn made in 1st world countries like US and EU. Some of the stuff you get overseas looks questionable.

No one is disputing that... We are debating on mainstream porn that is completely voluntary and legal.
