A woman can get by entirely on looking good; no job, no education, just looks (trophy wife). That isn't really an option for dudes. wstfldYeah, people like Kim Kardashin and Kendra Wilkinson come to mind. But then again, think about things in a corporate atmosphere. Women are not treated with as much respect with men and dare I say, they are not taken as seriously.
Having experienced 0.2 lifetimes as a man, I'm sure I'll be able to give you an accurate answer.
Well, not really.
It's easier to be a man, IMO. Better job opportunities and better control over your own destiny. The world is sexist.
Yeah, when was the last time a women was elected the president of the United States of America? Then again, brainless bimbos such as Paris Hilton can get by just by being hawt, making sex tapes and modelling clothing targeted at the other pretentious (and dirty rich) socialites. It's easier to be a man, IMO. Depends on several factors. Where you live What time period you live Economic status a women that is poor is not the same as a women with a wealthy upbringing. This being considered In the United States of America in the Year 2010, with the same economic status it's easier to be a woman.

Sorry to break it to you, but as a guy, destiny chooses you, not the other way around.I imagine it would be harder for a girl going through puberty than a man.
Unless you actually think like those people in the "your body and you" tapes.
I guess you really can't form an unbiased opinion unless you've been both (growing up)
I doubt though, that anyone can get a sex change at the ages of 9 - 15/16 and even then wouldn't you still grow like your predestined gender?
I'm a man, and so far nothing about anything growing up has bothered me. It would probably be different though, if I was a woman.

I doubt anyone would deny the truth in these words. :P
Who knows? The expectations society puts on both genders can be pretty unrealistic - men are expected to be strong, in charge and not victims to their emotions (otherwise they're seen as weak/homosexual or some such); women are expected to behave "appropriately", look good and be faithful (an ironic double standard given that men who sleep around are given a little leeway).
Sporty men are likely to be declared macho, sporty women will be viewed as potential lesbians; men who spend too much time on their appearance are often considered self-absorbed or vain, women who do so are considered normal and/or beautiful.
I think we all muddle by as best we can. Both genders have thousands of years of cultural heritage to compete with...
I'd always wondered if my life would be easier as a man. I decided that it may be easier, but less fun.

Thank goodness for plastic surgery, make-up, stilettos, slimming teas/pills/powder, hair removers, facial centersand photoshop. :P
I personally believe a woman has it much easier than us men. For example the phrase 'man up' means for us to stop being cowards and do something. And it means us men. We are supposed to protect our women, and provide for out families.
[QUOTE="rawsavon"][QUOTE="MissLibrarian"]I would be very disappointed :PYou could switch roles, that way it wouldn't be so bad. Me and my alter ego do it all of the time =) I already posted here that I have no interest in being a woman...at all Though 'role-play' can always be funIt is easier to be a man.
if I got to do my life over, I'd ask to be a guy.

Defiantlyeasier to be a women. Us men have to be on the constant lookout for people trying to kick us in the nads. Chick's don't have to worry about that.
IMO in a developed country, it is easier to be a woman seeing as how you can marry a rich man and live a simple domestic life if you chose not to pursue any careers. Developing countries are a different problem where women abuse is rampant like in many arab countries where women are almost oppressed.GoGoGadget_Western misrepresentation of the orientals are just ridiculous. When will people wake up and try to see the world from the perspective of other people? You rely too much on the media and literature for information. I bet that if you are open-mind and go live with them for a year, your opinion of them will change.
