Poll In Japan BK sells black burger: would you buy one (49 votes)

Yeah 31%
No 49%
I'd try it, but I wouldn't pay for it 10%
black is beautiful 10%

So Burger King in Japan is, for a limited time, selling a burger with black cheese and a black bun. The cheese is made with charcoal bamboo, and the sandwich contains squid ink. Would you try one?

You can count me out!

Sure I'll try it if it comes to the U.S that is but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Considering that burger looks like it just oozed up from a tar pit, nope...

Eh, I'd eat it.

I don't really find the texture to be that off-putting, so as long as it tastes good.

I wouldn't try it. They can keep the squid ink.

I think OT needs to grow a pair if they are so disgusted by colored patties... kidding.

I wouldn't mind trying it since I'm pretty open minded about food as long is not disgusting in taste.

That sounds... disgusting. Squid ink?

you must be those who never travel abroad ....... have u not even tried a black spagetti ... coloured by squid ink???

I have studied abroad (or two).

Seriously though I have been to several countries in Europe (no asian countries), but have never seen black spaghetti.

here's some example from the web .... .... or just make it yourself ..... flour ...water and squid ink

looks like licorice.

Squid ink? Is that safe to consume? Is it in good taste to consume?

No.

Research has shown the way food looks is hugely important. This would seem to be a disaster from the get-go.
