how would you feel if rich people got immortality and you didnt?

How would you feel if rich people got immortality and you didnt? Say they came out with something to make a person live forever with no aging. But only the rich people could afford it. It costed 100 million to get immortality.

Would you get jealous?

Really there isnt anything right now to be jealous about that rich people have.

I would be sorry for them. I love my mortality.

I would feel pretty jaded.

Sure, it might seem nice for the first hundred years. But then 1000 years rolls around, then 100,000 years, then a million. No thanks.

Sure, people would be upset. But then we'd just detonate a few nukes. "OH, you would killyourselves, too, you'd never do that", you poor people would say. Then we'd just go, "Immortality suckers" and push the nuke button.

I wouldn't be jealous because I probably would hate spending an eternity with rich people. I'll let their egos drive each other insane while I'm peacefully decomposing somewhere. :)

Most people don't die due to age, anyway. They'd probably die from a disease, or if not, eventually they'd develop a cancer. That if they don't get hit by a car, murdered or suffer any accident first.

I don't care if you are athiest or whatever if you are rich you are on the top rung of the ladder and it is soooo tempting to feel morally superior and tell everyone on the lower rungs to pull themselves up by their boot straps.

I'd much rather be mortal. Imagine just living FOREVER, and never ever having your life end. For billions upon billions of years, while you watched people you love around you die while you continue on. I can't say I would want that. And besides, I want to see my maker eventually. :)

I think most people on the thread are missing the point, it's not that we would want to live forever, it's that rich people have the option and we don't. Personally, I would be mad, yell at the TV, eat some kraft dinner, then go to bed. That's just me though.

I would assume any treatment would just make you immune to ageing, and I would also imagine that all major diseases would have been cured by that point.

If this were the case, then yes I would want the treatment.

They can live forever for all I care. Let them be miserable - which maybe they won't be in the beginning, but after several hundred years, they'll get sick of it pretty quickly.
