Computing baffles me.Damn it, man, read the link! :P Things were improved, it was just all done under the hood, just like Chrome 90% of the time.
I had no clue I was using 5 ... it must have updated automaticaly . So what's the difference ? ...it looks exactly the same to me, hence the not noticing part
There is a link on this very page that explains the difference. :)I had no clue I was using 5 ... it must have updated automaticaly . So what's the difference ? ...it looks exactly the same to me, hence the not noticing part

Oh, ok ... I won't bother reading it anyway. It works fine, that's all i need
The biggest problem for me with the new FF (post version 4.0 which I got recently, I was using 3.1x forever) is the fact that after each download it freezes up the browser. Just got 5.0 but it doesn't seem to fix the issue really.
Chrome is a joke. Certain webpages don't even show up properly and others just won't even load. If it wasn't so buggy it'd be alright. Opera is where it's at though.chrome. /thread

Well, I have no problem with you saying that about Chrome's problems, but then you brought up Opera, which has almost the same exact problems with loading certain webpages. I use and love both browsers though, and prefer both to Firefox.
Dealing with this update, it is cerainly...Random. It didn't really change much, and I'm just not impressed with Firefox anymore (even with their nighly builds).
5? But 4 hasn't even been out that long.

Following the amazing release of Firefox 4, Mozilla Firefox is moving to a rapid release development cycle to deliver new features, performance enhancements, security updates and stability improvements to users faster.
Until now, there were three channels to test new features in Firefox:

Same here, so far I don't see any difference.just downloaded it i don't see any diffrence at all.

they are playing the version number game like Chrome. But why go to 5? Why not continue with 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, etc. until a major change?

Your post is dripping with irony.
Google toolbar is incompatible with FF5 right now.

Found a solution here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/837142#answer-202409
"Thats because the old installed version of googletoolbar has a file named install.rdf that declares the max supported version of firefox to be 4.0.
To fix this ,just open the install.rdf file with notepad and change maxVersion from 4.0.* to 6.* (see the image i've also uploaded)
Now, in order to find the correct install.rdf file do the following:
Go to folder: C:Users[your user name here]AppDataRoamingMozillaFirefoxProfiles[sometext].default and search for the install.rdf file (im using windows 7)
Windows search will find many install.rdf files (one for each addon you have installed on firefox) so make sure that you find the install.rdf that has the line
Google Toolbar for Firefox
in it. For this install.rdf file just rename the max version as stated above , restart firefox..and vualla! Google toolbar is back!"
Firefox 4 came out in March if I recall correctly and Mozilla did announce a quicker release schedule.5? But 4 hasn't even been out that long.

I don't see that on mine? You on Firefox? I get it in Chrome and IE9 as well. It's even worse in Maxthon! It's been there for ages and it just bugs me. :P[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]
