Do all (at least Christian based cemetaries) face East? For the second coming of Christ? Because my dad was saying not all graves face to the East. Is this true?

I am not sure if it is east across the entire world but it is at the very least east in the United States. This reasoning is based upon the notion that when Jesus comes back he is to do so in Jerusalem. It apparently gives a better view for the dead person. While I as a Christian do very much believe that Jesus will come back and resurrect the dead, I am pretty sure it doesn't matter what direction your dead body is facing when it happens. mindstorm
none of my local graves face east ;)

I suppose they will not be able to enjoy the Christian zombie apocalypse then. But really, I'd argue that it is based more on superstition than "because the Bible says so."Please Log In to post.
