If you have a gender studies degree, you have to find a way to justify all that wasted time, money and attention you squandered.
Pretty much.

It gets worst, majority of public colleges are requiring students to take a Gender Studies course in order to graduate.
People who feel attracted to the same gender and people who feel more like the opposite sex have always been there. It's not a matter of how they are raised, that's just something that, like left-handed, colorblind, dyslexic or tonedeaf people, has always existed. You can see signs of homosexual or transgender tendencies since they are little kids, and common sense dictates that trying to beat/punish/judge the "homo" or the "trans" out of them is going to hurt them really bad.
As long as you don't let them have any surgery or hormone treatments when they are kids and wait for their minds and bodies to grow before taking such big decisions, I say let them wear whatever they want and call them whatever name they want. If it's a phase, it will fade out. If they are actually transgender, then they are transgender and that's it. As long as they turn out to be kind and decent towards other people, nobody should really give a crap about what they wear, what medical procedures they've gone through and which public bathroom they want to use.

Colleges are becoming a joke in the states.
@Treflis: How bout just checking human and call it a day. That way people wont get offended by those who are different.
It's going to be interesting when you need to fill in an online application form and you need to pick the correct one in the future.
You know, Canada has a very lax law that let anybody other than a transgender to change their Gender without any background checks, it all takes a doctor's note.
@FireEmblem_Man: You shouldnt even need a doctors note, you should be able to call yourself whatever you want. There is no empirical science that can identify you as such primitive labels.

Did you even see the video? This was before Bill C-16 was passed. Now that it is, you can freely change your gender in Canada!

I keep seeing people say stuff like this yet have seen nothing of the sort happen. Any examples of schools that do this? Shouldn't be hard to find since you used the word majority.

I can vouch for the University of Washington. They dont do that, and WA is a pretty liberal, sjw state.

University of Michigan have been requiring people to use their preferred pronouns as well.

Uggh. I've heard the finger snapping applause stuff in courtyards at the UW. Ugh. Standing in the middle of absurd wind and rain, whilst whispering to a group of people, and they're snapping their little fingys. I have a social anxiety disorder, and people like me with anxiety were what that finger snapping was made for. If I could not handle a few dozen people clapping, what use am I to this world?

Yes but they don't require gender studies classes. So do you have any schools at all for your "majority" claim?
He said biological sex, to deny that is ignorance. Gender is not the same, stop confusing the two.
This right here. The entire debate is silly. Sex is established by your chromosomes. Gender is a collection of silly stereotypes that differ from society to society and are mere cultural concepts.
@kittennose: Sex isnt determined by your chromosomes mate.
You could look like a "male", but have either XX, XY, or a mix of both XX and XY.

What you "look like" is irreverent to sex. That is gender, and nothing more then cultural stereotypes. Male is XY and determined by science. A proper "Boy" on the other hand is determined by culture, and is subject to change based on where you are standing, when you exist, and who is observing/making the judgement.
@iandizion713: Every post I see from you related to a progressive issue is worse than the last. Are you alright or are you slowly losing your mind?
@Treflis: How bout just checking human and call it a day. That way people wont get offended by those who are different.
Might aswell just remove the option in that case. Not much more species on this planet that can fill out an Application form besides us.
Thank goodness we all have the privilege to be able to major in gender studies; moreover, it's such a diverse and applicable major that will undoubtedly be a strong beacon to lead from in the job marketplace.
There is not even a slimmer of a doubt that anyone could possibly deny (nor crush) such ambitions/dreams as its clearly an important pillar of college studies - right @musicalmac?

I dont think you understand. Using science, a "male" can have either XX, XY, or a combination of both XX and XY.

You CANNOT have a combination of XXXY Chromosomes! It's abnormal, and that person has no way of sexual reproducing!
XXXY syndrome is a sex chromosome aneuploidy in which males have two extra X chromosomes. Human cells usually inherit two sex chromosomes, one from the mother and one from the father. Usually, females have two X chromosomes (XX) and males have one X and one Y chromosome (XY). The appearance of at least one Y chromosome with a properly functioning SRY gene makes a male. As a result, XXXY only affects males. Males affected with XXXY syndrome have 48 chromosomes instead of the typical 46. This is why XXXY syndrome is sometimes referred to as 48, XXXY syndrome or 48, XXXY. The symptoms of this disease is very similar to Klinefelter syndrome, including delayed or reduced male puberty and infertility. It is estimated that XXXY affects one in every 50,000 male births.
@FireEmblem_Man: False, they could still reproduce. I also forgot a human can have XXY also. So would be,
Human = XX, XY, XXY, or XXXY. A "male" or "female" could have either of these.
Klinefelter's Syndrome
In adulthood, in addition to the main typical features:
You may also have problems getting an erection and have a low sex drive (libido).
Anxiety and depression may be a problem.
'Thinning' of the bones (osteoporosis) may develop in young or middle age rather than the usual older age for this condition.
You may also be less muscular than other men.
Most men who are 47, XXY have normal intelligence. However, your intelligence may be affected if you have a higher number of X chromosomes.
Almost all men who are 47, XXY will be infertile.
And some people say those on the right disbelieve in science.

NO THEY CAN'T! Did you fail Biology or Genetics class?
@FireEmblem_Man:
Males with XXXY syndrome can have testicular dysgenesis and hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism.[1] Testicular dygenesis is a condition in which a male with 48, XXXY is born with that results in infertility as a result of incomplete or complete loss of spermatogenesis, therefore the male is unable to produce sperm or produces low levels of sperm. Hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism is a condition in which the function of the testes in males is reduced and can result in low levels of sex steroids produced like testosterone.
@WhiteKnight77:
Affected males are often infertile, or may have reduced fertility. Advanced reproductive assistance is sometimes possible.

Its states "Males" with XXXY syndrome can have testicular dysgenesis and hypergonadotrophic hypogonadism. Not that all of them do.

I'm done, I have owned you, and you still act like a Science denier from the far right.
@FireEmblem_Man: Just quoting what it says mate. Its stats not all XXXY or XXY have infertility results.
I forget all the exact classifications in regards to gender vs. sex. Chromosomally you can be XY or XX but despite that you can actually have the primary sex organs of either (testes/ovaries) and despite that you can still have the secondary sex organs of the other (penis/vagina/etc.). For instance, there is a thing called testicular feminaztion where a person can have undescended testes and thus develop the secondary sexual chararcteristics of a woman. Jamie Lee Curtis is an example of that. I believe she is XY with testes but secondary female organs.

They're not able to produce the amount of sperm necessary to inseminate their partner for sexual reproduce. Not to mention that their sperm also comes deformed!
@FireEmblem_Man: Some are not. Nowhere does it state all have such an issue. Also XX, XY, and XXY can have same problems too. Thats why the dude in your video stated these things are very complex.

He, she. it posted information that corroborated what we posted and yet still wants to deny it. While nowhere does it state all, it also does not state how many can reproduce and as rare as a condition it is, I would venture to say that the number so afflicted who can reproduce would be even rarer.

Bro if it comes out and states some will suffer fertility issues. Common sense tells us that it doesnt mean ALL will. Come on now.
@TheFlush: Sex doesnt go by genitals mate. Thats primitive thinking. Just cause you have a penis doesnt mean your a "male".

lol. Pretty sure sex is 100% determined by the reproductive organs.
A baby doesn't pop out and the doctor goes, "well, we don't know yet because we have to wait till society allows the baby to determine for itself where it's going to be on the scale."
Oh the times, they are a changin'.
@Stevo_the_gamer: Thats primitive thinking mate. You cant look at someone and tell their true sex. You are aware not all "males" have a penis right? And not all "females" have a vagina.
