To those who saw the premiere,
What did you think? Personally, I thought it was incredible. Haven't been this excited about a new show in a long, long time. Can't wait to see tomorrow's episode.

im not wachting it till the seaon is done so i can buy the season. and watch it all at once. so far from whatching the preview and reading about the characters and stuff i think thy got the imp(tyrion) down how i imagined him and the wall. i dont rlly like their decision on Jon but thats just my opinion. oh and the wall looks great . cant wait to see those incest scenes 8) with the lannsisters .
[QUOTE="no_more_fayth"]I don't think they could cast a twelve-year-old for her role for various legal reasons. :PThat blonde chick with the huge ass... yeah, she's supposed to be 12.
Theokhoth
Well obviously. :P
I'm just saying they could casted an actress that was really skinny and looked very young, not 24.

I think they did at first, but they had to recast at the last minute.[QUOTE="no_more_fayth"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"] I don't think they could cast a twelve-year-old for her role for various legal reasons. :PTheokhoth

Hahaha.
Also... though I may be mistaken, but I don't remember Tyrion being a midget.

I haven't read that far into the book but they've altered more than just that characters age.[QUOTE="no_more_fayth"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"] I don't think they could cast a twelve-year-old for her role for various legal reasons. :PArtekus

That was just one I immediately thought of.

Are you serious? His whole attitude towards people/life is because of him being a midget or as he called himself in the books a dwarf.

I'm not being serious... hence the "though I may be mistaken."
I haven't read the whole book yet.
I forget things. :/

Ahh yes he and many characters throughout the book mention it often lol. You'll find out by page 50

I thought it was good for what they had to work with for the first episode, so many characters need to be introduced and everything, it was a little boring. They did an absolutely amazing job with the atmosphere though, and I look forward to the rest of the series.

The Stark children was one that really stood out to me. Jon and Robb are supposed to be 14 in the book but in the show they're in their mid twenties. Eddard Stark is supposed to be 35 but Sean Bean is in his early fifties now and couldn't pass for a 35 year old. Tyrion is supposed to be in his late twenties but the actor is 42 or something. Jaime and Cersei are in their early thirties but the tv show again is going for much older.[QUOTE="no_more_fayth"][QUOTE="Artekus"] I haven't read that far into the book but they've altered more than just that characters age.Artekus

I was like, "Where's the kids?"
Hahaha. :o

ya i was like k so where is robb and jon and isnt bran supposed to be 8-10 during this part of the series(dont remember)
but i guess it all works out cause i guess they couldnt use a kid for what ends up happening to some of the children. the free cities i think are goin to be really tricky to represent along with dorne, and dragonstone. the rest of the places are typical medivel cities/castles
Me too. Problem is: I don't have HBO.I haven't seen it, but I sorta want to since people keep talking about it.

Anyone know if I can watch it on Hulu or something?

I don't have HBO. But I still watched it. I feel bad though.I am pleased with the actors chosen for the parts (besides one), they represent the book quite well. I hope the rest of the series stays true to the book and doesn't mess around with the story... It certainly wasn't watered down to the extent I thought it would be, but it totally skipped the sex scene with khal drogo which was understandable yet unfortunate at the same time.
I think the book will be better though, I certainly enjoyed what happened in the first episode more in the book, it has skipped some things that I really liked about a few characters.
Catelyn? I actually thought she was ok, not one of the best though. The one I do not like is daenerys brother (cannot remember his name at the moment lol) I think he looks too wimpy, I mean I know he isn't exactly a brute or anything but hes like an old man.[QUOTE="wigan_gamer"]

Anyway I'm looking forward to tonights episode :) I just hope they give arya some attention, judging on the age difference in her and her sister, it looks pretty obvious who will be getting more attention though I think.
Overall amazing, but Im getting that softporn feeling that other HBO series give me, which I loathe.
rzepak
Have you read the books? It's pretty much a completely accurate representation of the happenings and culture from them :P
