Problem with bands who are overrated in this case Foo Fighters, is that they are still around and thus its hard to be a "god" when you actually exist because you are not illusive, you are around and people dont like it when your around. For example, rock gods such as Guns and Roses, people I would say hold them higher now than when they were around. Its when you cant have something that if you want it, you want it more, like it more, pecieve it differently.
Honestly any mention of radiohead... why are they considered anything but boring is beyond me. Its a band that seems to only appeal to certain people and I would guess its more than the music that the people like. Its almost like a weird sub-culture.
The Foo-Fighters are probably the best modern rock bands I think. I can't really think of another band who really holds a stage and crowd as well as they do. Sure musically speaking, its all very subjective, but I think for performances and creating an atmosphere, they are probably the best.
Foo Fighters are over-rated. Yeah thats right, I said it!
