You can get rid of it completely
View > Toolbars > Customize.
You don't even need it since the url bar can be used to search stuff now.

I had to make a stylish theme to hide it.bededog
There's an Addon to fix that.
You can resize the search bar by dragging the separator between the address box and the search box.bededogThanks :)
[QUOTE="Big_Bad_Sad"]Is it just me or have they swapped the open new tab and open new window when you right click on a link?Agent-ZeroThey did. I keep opening new windows when I want a new tab! Me too. Its annoying.

Middle mouse on links opens a new tab. Or at least it does in Firefox 3

I already have an addon similar to that. As it says in the notes, it can't hide the button it can only move it around. To completely hide it you need to edit the userChrome file or use a Stylish theme.Me too. Its annoying.[QUOTE="Big_Bad_Sad"][QUOTE="Agent-Zero"] They did. Wow you beauty I cant believe I did not know that.:?But it's never too late so I am gonna love this now.:D
Just downloaded it
I was honestly considering ditching firefox for chrome until now. Firefox4 is faster, looks 10x better then before and I love how all I have to do is highlight a link and click "open in new tab" now instead of having to copy and paste all the damn time just because somebody forgot to make their link clickable. The only problems I have with it so far is the status bar at the bottom that pops up every time I hover over something that can open a new page, it's kind of ugly.

It looks more like Chrome
Hm, I might give it a try then. I've been having a lot of issues with both Safari and Chrome lately.[QUOTE="limpbizkit818"]
I am still using FF2 on my desktop
metroidfood
Well, at least you didn't say IE...
Well, I do have IE9 on there :P
Thing is when FF3 came out none of my plug-ins worked with it so I just stuck with FF2. As time went on I started using other browers and never upgraded. O well.
You could just install the addon Linkification which automagically links things for you.Just downloaded it

It hasn't been updated on the addon page yet, but the Linkification website has a newer version that works with Firefox 4. You can also disable addon compatibility check to force older addons to work (doesn't guarantee they will work just allows you to use them as is).Anybody get Linkification to work with FF4 yet?

After hours of tweaking I finally got it looking exactly how I want it:DSuprmanLuvHandlWhy did that take hours for you? :P
On my current version of firefox i have an addon that lets me have multiple rows of bookmarks instead of it just going to a list. Does anyone know if this is possible in Firefox 4?
I like it. My only complaints are the window shouldn't minimize when I click next to a tab for a new tab (can't be bothered to click the tiny button all the time) and I would like to change the color of the Firefox button. It's perfect once I figured out how to set my bookmarks toolbar. What's with people saying FF is copying Chrome? Nearly everything about chrome was copied from FF. Also, the refresh button needs to be put back infront of the address bar. Overall, I Love it. This is definitely the most sleek, clean and organized web browser available. You can make it as sleek as you want.. you can even take away the address bar, or make the browser full screen.
You can move the refresh button if you wish, most of the new firefox is customisable. Just click the Firefox button at the top left, click the arrow next to options then toolbar layout. :)I like it. Also, many users say that Mozilla ripped the new design straight from Opera so it's a tad amusing that you deem Firefox to now be the most sleek, clean and organized web browser available when it looks a hell of a lot like Opera now. Removing the address bar is also available in Opera, mind you.
