2014 has been a great year for moviegoers. My favorite film of the year is Captain America: The Winter Soldier, though I fully appreciate others listed here and those not included in any lists.

Same, my girl have some sort of fetish with vampires, we wanted to watch something and it was available to watch so we plugged the laptop to our TV and watched it. I agree it was bad lol, I think she didn't enjoy it as much too. I think she knew about the book but not really familiar with it. I ended up doing other things while the movie played.

nah, he's in it a lot, they just build him up in the beginning. So you don't see him until the intro is done, which is about 50 minutes in or something. The movie was excellent

The film is 123 minutes long...Godzilla gets about (rounding up) 11 minutes of screen time...so, yeah.

No, no, no...that 50 minutes refers to how long you have to wait for him to even first appear...then you only get 10 minutes of him over the next 60 or so minutes.

X-Men Days of Future Past & Captain America: Winter Soldier, as well as Snowpiercer (though it's not a 2014 movie... I think) I have yet to see Guardians of the Galaxy & Godzilla.

@The_Last_Ride Snowpiercer was good (personally) I actually enjoyed it. Would say give it a try. I think what made the movie "good" is the way it was filmed / directed, the story was decent and the concept was somewhat 'fresh'. Unlike anything I've seen recently. Unique and ambitious but far from flawless :)
