dragonforce! ftw!

so i just heard of dragonforce and after spending 30 minutes watching their videos on youtube, i am amazed. the lead guitarist actually called their music "nintendo metal" which after hearing their sound, i definitely see. what do you guys think?

It's not a band you should talk about in OT...People are quite touchy when it comes to people that actually like Dragonforce.

All their songs sound exactly the same to me.

Studioforce? They're okay, until you see them live. My biggest complaint is their songs sound way too similar. If I here the lyric "So Far Way" or "We Wait for the Day" again in one of their songs, I'm going to explode.

I think they're terrible. It also didn't help how as soon as GH3 was out, everyone at school thought is was SO RAD.

They're horribly generic. And I can't stand the lead guitarist's method of hitting any note he can, whenever he wants.

My thoughts exactly. Before that I just thought they were a mediocre band that was getting about as much attention as they deserved, then GH3 came out and all the sudden everyone and their mother was just like "OMG best guitar player evar!" They have no feel whatsoever, they just play really fast while the singer sings about killing dragons and stuff.

I only heard one song TTFAF. I hated that song because I couldn't beat it on Guitar Hero 3 :x

Dragonforce is NOT "Nintendo Metal". It's power metal. There are a lot of bands that had a similar sound that came out before them. I'm not trolling... Just letting you know, that you've been misinformed. And if they said that they are "Nintendo Metal" they fail... Epic...

I've only listened to Inhuman Rampage, and I've never heard an album where the songs were so interchangeable with each other, it really strings together after a while, almost like a 50 minute song, but instead its an album with about 8 or 9 moments of a few seconds of silence.

I think they are the worst Power Metal band on the face of the planet. Why waste my time on that band when I can listen to Dark Moor, Galneryus, Dream Evil or Mercenary?

Ugh... There are far better power metal bands. Blind Guardian, Falconer, Derdian... All so much better then Dragonforce.
