well thank god some people read. haha. i was beginning to worry :( so if you don't mind me asking what are you reading currently? or read like on a year to year basis.RaistlinMajere8I don't read anything now. Finished my last book yesterday. :/ I don't know how many books I read through the year.. I tend to read a lot in a short ammount of time and then have a break for a few weeks.
I've just read Bobby Robsons Autobiography (don't think americans will know this guy, he was a huge successfull manager in europe and the guy beat cancer like 3 or 4 times and raised so much money for cancer research, like millions, also he brought through jose mourinho tought him everything and big players like Ronaldo) anyways enough of that.
I tend to be picky with books I'm not a very active book reader.
I've tried to read, but I can not get dragged in by a bunch of words on page no matter how hard I try to imagine everything so I usually close the book after the first chapter and never go back.bigblunt537What books have you tried to read? Usually it's the uninteresting ones you put down straight away.

Successful books I've read for school that I liked actually: Bones and Fahrenheit 451 Books I stopped after first chapter: The Hobbit, Few Tom Clancy Books, Harry Potter Books, and basically anything I've been told is a good read, but I failed.
I wouldnt say i read actively, i will pick up a book if it really catches my eye but that is quite rare. i am reading one atm. my friends i dont know any of them that actively read bar a book here and there like me. I am 17 btw and friends around 18.

Same here, Tom Clancy bores me and the Hobbit was just detail detail detail. If you haven't got the patience for a long 400 page novel go for short fiction like Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" (it's on Google).. It's one of the most intense experiences I've ever had read that. If you do just want a good novel that'll keep you turning pages try J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye". It got me reading, I couldn't put it down, brilliant.
does anybody like under the age of 22 read anymore? i mean i live in colorado and i know a lot a lot of people my age (19) and not one person reads actively. they all say they only read when they're told to by school and even then they use spark notes. i've been reading since i was like nine and haven't stopped since. big fan of fantasy. dragonlance. all that stuff. so yea someone show me some light here .RaistlinMajere8i mean i read everyday not books but news on the net, these forums does that count?
[QUOTE="Eddie5vs1"]I read all the time, it's one of my favorite ways to relax. I'm currently reading Angels and Demons again.-Panjera-Who is that by? Someone has been trying to get me to read that I think! Dan Brown. Eh, I read 2 of his novels, Angels/Demons and the da vinci code. Neither one was very memorable.
