I've always purchased my music online through iTunes Amazon etc. but recently I've found myself buying a lot more CD's. Until this month the last CD I bought was 2 years ago. I like the idea of having a hard copy of my music. How do you guys buy your Music?

If I'm buying music, I prefer to have it on a CD. Digital downloads don't have the quality of CDs and CDs make a good physical backup that you don't get with digital downloads.

Nope. I buy everything that I can digitally. Physical copies just take up space.

Yes I do as I generally still buy everything on DVD and vinyl and only buy digital when it's the only way it can be purchased.

Yes, of course I do. It's about the same price as a download, you get a hard copy plus the case and artwork, and no DRM.

Yes - I can't do without the sound quality of a CD or vinyl record. And, most of the time, CDs are cheaper than downloads lately.

I rarely ever buy music but when I do it is always a CD. And NO, I don't steal music. Except for in my car, I always have a computer to just listen to whatever music I want for free anyway.

That's something I can't understand, sure it's pretty sometimes but you really aren't going to be hanging it on the wall or something similar where you can see it all the time are you?

Actually, I keep all my CD's in a several big CD books, and keep my cover art in a big book as well... scrap booking, I suppose, although I don't put as much work into it...

I was gonna try and do something like that with my cds and dvds a long time ago but read somewhere that those books warped them... then i just gave all the stuff away, well some of it anyhow.

Many years ago, I had a car when I was stationed on Okinawa and there was only one English radio station and that was the Armed Forced Radio and Television Network and they played rock only during certain times of the day. The car had an 8-track tape player and I had one tape that came with the car,Chuck Mangione's Feels So Good. It kind of got wore out, but I was able to appreciate Jazz and it's complexities because of it.

Most of my music is on CD. The only time I download music is if the download version offers something that the CD version doesn't. Loud from Rihanna is an example, since the explicit version was digital download only and you could only buy the edited version on CD. Every CD I get I rip it to my computer anyway so I could put it on my Zune and I use the CDs so I can rip it on the hard drive in my car. I use a flash drive for the songs I downloaded only since I can't save the songs directly to the car without the CD.

Yes I do, but not as much as I used to. I mostly buy mp3 albums now. Amazon usually has some good deals on mp3 albums; I bought Lady Gaga's The Fame & The Fame Monster for $1.99 each.
