Do you currently have a library card?

I admit, I had one for the longest time, then they closed the library I used to go to as a kid, so I stopped going.  (I prefer buying books anyway.)  They still have rather nice public libraries around here though.  I wish i still had the card I had when I was a kid but I guess I tossed it some years back.  What's interesting is I was looking for some nice colorful sample library card pics and pickings were rather slim, but I found an photo for the application for the Inglewood Public Library.  I didn't even know Inglewood had a public library, figured you just walked in and showed em your gun and you'd get books.  =P   Anyway do any of you guys have a library card?

I always liked to buy my books and I can' t say there are any really good libraries here anyway.

Sure do. I love the library system in my town. I have been borrowing games for years. Saved me thousands of dollars and given me a chance to try out games before I buy. I also get tons of digital books and magazines. If I was in need, I could use their computers to access the internet for an hour per day. I still can't believe the card is free. I would gladly pay to have it.

Wii/DS - 290+ titles(many duplicates) almost 80 available at any time.

360 - 180+ with 85 available.

PS3 - 240+ with 90 available.

Yes I do, had to get a new one last summer as I was no longer in the library records due to not going there. Still haven't been there since last summer. :p

The only real drawback is the fact that they only fine you a max of $12 for damaging or losing one. Which sucks because there are plenty of meatheads that are first to borrow a brand new title and keep it. $60 or $12?

Nope, libraries are outdated. I only read on my iPad, so I download my books.

Around here they fine you a dollar per day that you are overdue on DVD's (I don't think my library system has video games yet). I find a major drawback to be all of the damage the DVD's receive because previous renters either chew on them or use them as beer coasters :x

Also to answer the topic, I gave mine back once they started to limit the amount of time you could spend on the computer.
