May he rest in peace

Also known as Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
I'm sorry, but I just never knew of his existence in the world of radio.
He also voiced Bluestreak in the original Transformers cartoon and I believe some other bots as well

He also voiced my personal favorite, Cliffjumper. And I think maybe Mirage? I forget now.
I didn't know he had died, though I was aware he had been in poor health for a while now. He did a lot of memorable stuff over the years, he'll be missed.

Blasphemy!
Thats HUGE :( .......................I had just about every weekly Top 20 memorized from 1974 and 1975 with him at the helm on AT40 while I was living in Germany as a kid. Would never miss it. I only stopped because we moved back to the States and couldn't find AT40.
I idolized him, death of a legend.
With the death of Casey Kasim and Wee Willy Weber a few years ago, something of my happy childhood has died with it.
@Serraph105: that's crazy to think some people don't know his radio career. I am listening to it now. They replay it a lot on weekends on some stations. He had amazing voice and way of doing a countdown. Even if if I don't the music I could listen just to hear his voice inbetween the songs.
Oh Guardians of the Galaxy, we thank you for your contribution to the world of .gifs!

Neither do I. I too know him as Shaggy.
Crawl out from under that rock a bit more often and you won't look so clueless and lost.

LOL, no, judging by the amount of, or lack of, responses in this thread, I'd say I am not the only one who hasn't heard of some voice actor who also did radio.

In the time it took you to post that gif, you could've easily used a search engine and look up Casey Kasem. Just saying.

I knew who he was before posting the gif, because his death was all over twitter and some news sites. The gif is to express the fact that he was someone I never heard anything about until his died.

Not really.
@SaintLeonidas: no way he is iconic. Most people might of thought he was already dead though he disappeared after retirement other than some weird news if his wife hiding him from his children or something.

Who are we talking about again?

Definitely an icon to American Top 40 and to radio dj's in general.
