[QUOTE="SPBoss"]Terrorists?JML897The rumor is that the explosions came from garbage cans. If that's the case then it's obviously intentional
Could be, but it happened 3 hours after the winner crossed the finish line. If anything you'd want to do it right at that point as opposed to three hours later.

If you're going for as many casualties as possible then you'd do it three hours later. When the winner crosses the finish line, it's only the winner and a couple other people nearby. A few hours later is when the "average" people in big groups finish. My thoughts. Assuming maximum shock/casualties was the motive (and that's even assuming this was intentional), a few hours later would make more sense.[QUOTE="SpartanMSU"]

true, U.S is far from innocent as well especially when you look at drone strikes.
Â
ReadingRainbow4
Specifically targeting innocent civilians is a lot different than targeting terrorist groups/military targets...
maybe, but those targets are usually someones neighborhood.
Â
No, not maybe. It's a terrible comparison. Although you may not agree with the drone attacks or military action and the effects they have on people, it's still MUCH different than specifically targeting a population of civilians in order to induce the highest amount casualties/fear.
[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] Are you afraid? Most people aren't. Oh it will make some good sound bites but overall it isn't that effective. Though it can cause retaliation and more loss of lives. How does that help?LJS9502_basicMe? No I'm not afraid however you can't discount the effect something like this has on people. As for the retaliation comment, want to lend me your crystal ball so I can look into the future to tell you?Yet look at the live feed....people ran TOWARD the bombs to help the injured....not away. That's not smart, if there are successive attacks in the vicinity, you are no good to them if you are dead.
...A large amount of people from Sandy Hook were running in honor of the victims of the shooting last year. After what happened today, one could seriously consider God has it out for Sandy Hook.

I really feel this isn't the place to argue, I'll just say they are both deplorable,so I won't. But the death toll of innocent bystanders from the drone strikes has been staggering.

Hope it's just a freak coincidence, but this is BS for them to go through, haven't they suffered enough?
My friend's family goes every year to the Boston Marathon to watch the finish after the Red Sox game. They didn't go this year...
Pretty crazy story. I really hope everyone is okay. I want to know more about the explosion and/or explosives though.Â
I live within a day's drive from Boston. I'm watching the news on the boston news stations and I was shocked when I saw that there had been explosions at the marathon.
aaaand the prize for stupidest comment yet goes to.....The new gun laws would have prevented this how.?
Â
Well liberals )???
Â
Â
HOW ???.
Â
When people want to hurt others, they will use whatever method is available, and all these stupid ****ing new gun laws won't do a ****ing thing.
